American Blacks Constitute Less Than 14 Percent

26 06 2020

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

According to recent data, Blacks or African Americans—or those who are defined as “having origins in any of the native peoples of Sub-Saharan Africa”—constituted 13.4 percent of the U.S. population.  Hispanics and Latino Americans constituted even more, at 18.3 percent of our population.  Whites totaled 60.4, and Asian Americans amounted to 5.9 percent.[2]

We are all Americans.  As I wrote more than ten years ago:

The United States is . . . unlike any other [country] on the Earth.  . . .  Deep beneath the surface, there is love for people everywhere, and an appreciation of each person’s God-given gifts and uniqueness.  In a recent interview, I said:

“I believe in this country, and I believe in Americans of all colors, faiths and backgrounds.  The United States is the only true melting pot in the world, with its populace representing a United Nations of the world’s peoples.  Yes, we fight and we even discriminate, but when times are tough—like after 9/11—we come together as one nation, which makes this country so great and special.  Also, all of us or our ancestors came here from somewhere else.  Even the American Indians are descended from those who crossed the Bering Strait—or the ‘Bering land bridge’—according to anthropologists.”[3]

The notion that one group is deserving of special privileges or compensation is absurd, and must be rejected.  My ancestors came from England, Germany, Ireland and Scotland.  Indeed, my first paternal ancestors traveled from Rottweil, Germany to New Ulm, Minnesota in 1849—a husband and wife who had 16 kids.  They braved the Atlantic, and traveled to a new and inhospitable land, the state of Minnesota.  Eleven years later, the husband had assimilated enough that he served with the Minnesota Regiment of the Union Army.

I am proud of the fact that Abraham Lincoln and Generals Ulysses S. Grant and William Tecumseh Sherman defeated the South and freed the slaves and saved the nation.[4]  It is galling to see the thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels of America burn our cities, destroy businesses, attack our police, and deface or tear down our monuments.  They are the dregs of America, who deserve nothing, but they are lauded as heroes by the despicable Left and their fellow travelers.[5]

Indeed, they are reincarnations of those who rioted in the Watts area of Los Angeles during the summer of 1965, and later during the Rodney King riots in the same city.  They burned our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., after Martin Luther King Jr. was killed in Memphis; and they have spread death and destruction whenever and wherever it suited them—in the United States and abroad.  They are often referred to as “Black Lives Matter” or Antifa, but they are all thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels, and they are deserving of nothing.

No reparations. No affirmative action.  No governmental handouts,  Nothing.[6]  It is time to crush their anarchy, in no uncertain terms.  Many or most are ultra-Leftists, and far-Left Democrats—the inheritors of those who brought slavery to our shores, and perpetuated it with the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) and segregation.  As I have written:

Indeed, former Democratic President Lyndon Johnson’s singular accomplishment in office—other than escalating John F. Kennedy’s Vietnam War—was his “Great Society” welfare program. It broke up or crippled black families, and made them dependent on the Federal Government’s largesse, effectively enslaving them economically to this day.[7]

Lastly, it is worth repeating:

George Orwell wrote of this phenomenon in his prescient “Animal Farm,” where all of the animals were equal until the Pigs reigned supreme and subjugated the other animals.  Today’s “Pigs” are America’s Left, and the thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels who burn and loot our cities.

They seek “reparations,” when in fact they or their “soul mates” have been benefiting from the Government’s—or rather the peoples’—largesse for decades, in the form of welfare payments and food stamps and the benefits of Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society,” which was and remains a failure like his Vietnam War.

Decimated have been black families that became single-parent households, which in turn have been victimized as black-on-black crime has escalated over recent decades, and elderly black women have been preyed on and terrified by young thugs who have zero respect for anything. They are anarchists and nihilists; and yes, they are today’s Pigs who must be crushed. Nothing less will suffice. They are truly the animals that George Orwell described.[8]

This is the legacy that the despicable un-American racist, anti-Semite and traitor Barack Obama bequeathed to our great nation.[9]  Meanwhile, China—which unleashed the Coronavirus Pandemic on the world, as a bioweapon or inadvertently—and our other enemies around the world are salivating.[10]

Biden’s Basement Strategy: Just Say Nothing [UPDATED]

While not intended as such, the article below (with the title above) about Sleepy Joe Biden by Pat Buchanan—an adviser to Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, and a former GOP presidential aspirant himself—compliments my article nicely, and mirrors what I wrote above:

Some polls now have Joe Biden running ahead of Donald Trump by 10 points and sweeping the battleground states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. This vindicates the strategy Biden’s advisers have adopted:

Confine Joe to his basement, no press conferences. Trot him out to recite carefully scripted messages for the cameras. Then lead him back to his stall.

This enables Biden to avoid the blazing questions that are dividing not only Democrats and Republicans but liberals and leftists. And most of these issues touch on the explosive subject of race.

Consider. California’s legislature just voted to put to a statewide ballot in November a return to the racial preferences that were banned as discriminatory in a statewide referendum, 25 years ago.

The proposal would reverse the 1995 constitutional amendment, approved by 55% of voters, which outlawed “preferential treatment” based on “race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin.”

If the measure carries, California returns to a racial spoils system.

Race preferences are being pushed because they are needed to bring about greater representation of Blacks and Hispanics in the student bodies of elite schools of the state university system like UCLA and the University of California, Berkeley.

Asian students are today “overrepresented” in these prestigious schools, because of their superior test scores.

Where does Biden stand on anti-Asian discrimination?

Earlier this June, the California Assembly voted to establish a task force to make recommendations for reparations for slavery.

Now, California did not enter the Union until 1850, and slavery was outlawed in the state constitution, though several thousand slaves were brought there during the 1849 Gold Rush.

Where does Biden stand on reparations for slavery?

Many of the recent protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death have involved the desecration and destruction of monuments.

What does Biden think about tearing down statues of Christopher Columbus and Robert E. Lee? Where does Biden stand on destroying statues of Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Lincoln, Grant and Theodore Roosevelt?

What did Biden think of the removal of the statue of Caesar Rodney, Delaware statesman and slave owner, who, despite a grave illness, rode to Philadelphia to sign Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence and cast his lot with the American Revolution?

Understandably, Biden would prefer not having to choose between Caesar Rodney and BLM.

Black men are arrested and incarcerated more often than whites because of the systemic racism of law enforcement officials, we are told.

Does Biden believe white cops are congenital racists?

In the great cities where the killing of Black men is today all too common, the regimes that have ruled them for decades have been almost wholly Democratic.

Does Biden believe there is systemic racism in the ruling circles of all these Democratic-run cities?

Over the last month, there has been an explosion of shootings and killings. In Chicago, over Memorial Day, 84 people were shot, 24 mortally.

Last weekend in Chicago, 106 people were shot and 14 killed. New York City is experiencing the worst shooting violence in a quarter century.

Is there systemic racism in the police departments of our great cities? Again, who has been running those cities, if not Democrats?

Is there inequality in wealth between Black and white America because of systemic racism? If so, why did that inequality persist through two terms of our first Black president, with Biden as his VP?

Does Biden believe, with Elizabeth Warren, in wealth taxes on the rich and wealth transfers to close the Black-white wealth gap?

Is there systemic racism in American media?

Our dominant media institutions include The Washington Post, New York Times, ABC, CBS and NBC. All are controlled by liberals.

Is there systemic racism in our great universities and colleges? Yet, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, and the rest of the Ivy League have long been run by an entrenched liberal elite.

Is our huge federal workforce permeated by racism?

Though African Americans are 13% of the U.S. population, they occupy 18% of all federal jobs.

Is there systemic racism in our public schools? Who controls the teachers unions? Who fills almost all of the teaching positions?

Is there systemic racism in California? If so, who is at fault? The governor, both senators, both houses of the legislature, all statewide offices, and 46 of 53 U.S. House seats in California are held by Democrats.

If Biden emerges, then he will have to answer why all these institutions where his party and people are predominant — the media, Hollywood, the academic community, public schools, big-city governments, the big foundations, the federal bureaucracy — are apparently shot through with systemic racism after decades of Democratic dominance.

And, more precisely, what he intends to do about it.

Perhaps it’s better to shelter in place in the basement.

See https://buchanan.org/blog/bidens-basement-strategy-just-say-nothing-138829 (emphasis added)

First, I take exception to Buchanan’s characterization of our “great cities.” They have been dying for generations, and are breeding grounds for crime, corruption and despair. For example, New York City was hated by many Americans until 9/11 occurred, and the bravery of its fire fighters, police and others shown forth.

Second, will Sleep Joe pick California’s Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate? It is only fitting and proper that he does so, since she was San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown’s ho, and learned the ins and outs of politics on her back.

Third, Biden served as a loyal lapdog under the most un-American, racist, anti-Semitic and traitorous President in our history, Barack Obama. How does he explain that?

See https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2009/12/05/is-barack-obama-a-racist/ (“Is Barack Obama A Racist?”) and https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2018/05/24/should-barack-obama-be-executed-for-treason/ (“Should Barack Obama Be Executed For Treason?“)

Fourth, “Black Lives Matter,” Antifa and similar racist groups that burn and destroy, and hurt innocent Americans (e.g., black-on-black crime, especially involving elderly black women)—and target our police—must be banned as terrorist groups, and their members must be incarcerated.

See, e.g., https://www.newsmax.com/politics/billbratton-nypd-defundthepolice-crime/2020/06/28/id/974527/ (“Ex-[New York Police Department Commissioner] Bratton Warns of US Crime Revolution”—”‘In city after city, shootings, murderers, violence, and other forms of crime are on the increase. And nobody’s paying any attention to it. It’s amazing. They will start paying attention to it farther into the summer because there’s no sign that it’s going to abate. . . . New York is heading into some very, very troubled waters. The country is'”)

Lastly, it has been reported that Christian figures and symbols—including Jesus Christ himself—have become targets of the Left’s venom, hate and vandalism, as protests continue across the nation. Nothing is sacred or deified for them except the thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels of America, better known as the Pigs that George Orwell described in his prescient “Animal Farm.”

They seek to destroy America; and they are every bit as evil as Hitler’s Nazis, and they must be crushed. Indeed, Lincoln, Grant and Sherman saved the nation by destroying the South and ending slavery. Today, the Pigs deserve a similar fate. Nothing less will suffice.

We are in the midst of America’s second Civil War; and the shooting has begun.

See, e.g., https://www.foxnews.com/us/christian-figures-symbols-targeted-amid-black-lives-matter-protests (“Christian figures, symbols targeted amid ongoing protests“) and https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2020/06/16/the-campaign-to-cancel-history/ (“The Campaign To Cancel History”) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Farm (“Animal Farm“) and https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2019/10/09/this-is-war-abraham-lincoln-and-ronald-reagan-understood-this-and-donald-trump-does-too/ (“This Is War—Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan Understood This, And Donald Trump Does Too“) and https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2019/09/24/when-will-the-actual-shooting-begin-in-americas-second-civil-war/ (“When Will The Actual Shooting Begin In America’s Second Civil War?“)

First, boomer, it is always nice to see you reading and commenting on my postings. Hopefully each and every one of them serves to educate you, at least a wee bit.

Second, the opinions of my family members are personal and private.

Third, I enjoy what I am doing, and make time for articles and comments.

Fourth, the future of our great nation is at stake. If the Democrats win in November, I would not bet on America’s future.

And yes, I began as a Democrat but will never vote for one again.

Lastly, if you had guts, you would disclose your real name, instead of hiding behind a nom de guerre.

Come out of the closet, boomer, in Singapore. 🙂

Hi Naegele, like you, I’m proud of my heritage. My mother did not speak English at home and when I think of what my grandparents accomplished with their iron clad work ethic and high school educations it is humbling and it speaks to the unbelievable opportunity the United States offers.

I’m uncomfortable reading this ^^^ blog post. I respectfully feel this post is offensive and it oversimplifies the racial dynamics of our country.

Having worked in the public sector, for a police commission, investigating officer misconduct of a major urban police department, I am qualified to relay that race can most definitely play a role in interactions that members of the public have with police officers. This is not to say that police officers are bad people – to the contrary, I believe many officers are idealists. And I am proud to have law enforcement in my own family. Nonetheless, is a person who presents as African American possibly at times having experiences or exchanges with police officers that are different than a person who is Asian American or a person who is Irish American? I would say, yes, absolutely. To pretend otherwise is frankly ignorant.

Ironically, the solution to racially charged interactions is increased training. Guess what?? Increased training costs money. Thus, defunding the police is the most efficient way of ensuring more negative interactions.

Please edit out the “thugs, slugs, hoods, mongrels”, etc. Of course it is your blog but I don’t think this language furthers your message. However these words are hurtful, offensive to read and they sew division. Our country needs more unity. We can learn from what is happening and move forward with a more shared vision but doing so requires listening and engaging more with each other.

Also, the post would be marginally more palatable if you acknowledged the spectacular contributions this “one group” AKA the African American community has made to American culture and society. My $0.02.

Thank you again, Emily, for your comments.

I had the rare privilege of growing up in Los Angeles, where discrimination and bigotry were far less than in other parts of the country. Moreover, I am a product of Los Angeles’ public schools (i.e., Brentwood Elementary, Emerson Junior High, University High School), which were attended by everyone.

My high school, Uni High, was within a stone’s throw of the UCLA campus, and had about 4,000 students from all walks of life. I had friends who were different colors, religions, etc. All were treated the same; and I am very proud of that experience.

I knew the kids of famous movie stars, and others who became stars themselves. And I knew kids who had absolutely nothing. Today, parents who have money in LA send their kids to private schools, which I believe is a mistake.

As you may know, the Hispanic culture permeates California, from San Diego to Sonoma where the northernmost mission is located. Some people balk at its presence, but I love it. With the exception of MS-13 gang members, I have always felt an affinity to Hispanics. They are some of the nicest, hardest-working Americans whom I have ever met (your “iron clad work ethic”); and one of the grandparents of each of my six grandchildren is Hispanic.

I studied Spanish in college, at a time when vocabulary was stressed instead of actually speaking the language. Both of my kids studied it too, but they were immersed in the language, and only Spanish was spoken in their classrooms. At one time, both were totally proficient in the language, but if one does not use it, we lose it as you know.

Next, I am sorry that you felt uncomfortable with the article above. But I have no apologies, nor would I change a word of what is written. But yes I know, “police brutality” exists. It is a fact of life. I investigated complaints of it, during the summer before the Watts Riots erupted in LA; and Berkeley published an article of mine, which has been described recently as “quaint” because it sought to reconcile the needs of the police with those of the community members whom the police serve.

See http://www.naegele.com/documents/Naegele-CivilianComplaintsAgainstthePoliceInLosAngeles.pdf (“Civilian Complaints Against the Police in Los Angeles”)

The idea of some Americans about eliminating the police is absurd. As my article above states, “black-on-black” crime has been rampant for decades; and elderly blacks, and especially elderly black women, have been the targets and they fear for their lives.

The Coronavirus that China launched on the world is upending life as we have known it; and much worse is yet to come. My recent article discusses all of these issues. And yes, there will be almost zero dollars available to address any of these issues.

See https://naegeleblog.files.wordpress.com/2020/05/timothy-d.-naegele.pdf (“The Coronavirus and Similar Global Issues: How to Address Them”)

Next, you wrote:

I stand by my description of the thugs who have been burning our cities, and ending lives and businesses, and destroying entire cities. They are every bit as evil as Adolf Hitler’s thugs, who ravaged Europe before and during World War II. Indeed, to “sugarcoat” the thugs, and not to describe the so-called “Black Lives Matter” and Antifa thugs for what they are, does an injustice to their victims and to our great nation.

Next, you stated:

[T]he post would be marginally more palatable if you acknowledged the spectacular contributions this “one group” AKA the African American community has made to American culture and society.

Of course they have made enormous contributions. That is a given; at least for me. But perhaps the differences lie in the backgrounds of many blacks (a term that I prefer to “African-Americans”), such as the late U.S. Senator Edward W. Brooke for whom I worked (and who was the product of a stable black family), and the un-American, racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama whose parents effectively deserted him, and who has fostered/promoted racial divisions all of his life.

Lastly, I have few doubts that you will take umbrage with much that I have written, and believe. But the “thought police” does not operate at this blog, thank God. 🙂

Why Glorify America’s Animals And Freaks Of Nature?

In an effort to raise their acceptance nationally and internationally, America’s blacks are being hyped. Thugs from our ghettos are being glorified, instead of being put down like the rabid animals that they are. Members of a freak show.

The thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels of “Black Lives Matter,” Antifa and other far-Left groups have burned our cities; killed or hurt innocent Americans including our police; and destroyed black and other businesses.

See, e.g., https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10776295/Trio-thieves-brazenly-raid-San-Francisco-Walgreens-broad-daylight-counter.html (“Trio of thieves brazenly raid San Francisco Walgreens in broad daylight with two women looting BEHIND the counter while another clears the shelves”)

Their “culture” is not that of a vast majority of Americans. Yet, our TV channels are bombarded and saturated with ads and programs that would make them appear as if they were in the majority. The same is true of inter-racial relationships, and freaks of nature.

See, e.g., https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10773305/Assistant-Secretary-Health-Rachel-Levine-claims-doctors-agree-gender-affirming-care.html (“Transgender Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine sparks fury by claiming ALL pediatricians agree on ‘gender-affirming care’ – despite doctors warning against ‘chemical castration’ puberty blockers that have been linked to infertility”)

Perhaps the Democrats – and their far-Left ilk in Hollywood and in our despicable media – are simply displaying their guilt at having instituted slavery, and perpetuated it after our Civil War in the form of the KKK, segregation and Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” programs that destroyed black families and consigned them to economic servitude.

The flip side of the coin is that there are wonderful blacks, who are just as American as I am. Ulysses S. Grant wrote about them, and I have too.

A Whirlwind May Be Coming

See https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11114637/Fury-Minneapolis-teachers-union-says-WHITE-teachers-laid-regardless-seniority.html (“Fury as Minneapolis teachers’ union negotiates clause requiring WHITE educators to be laid off first regardless of seniority to make up for ‘past discriminations’: Rule is part of contract that ended two-week strike this past March”)

My ancestors came to the Minneapolis area from Rottweil, Germany in 1849, a husband and wife who had 16 kids. No one gave them anything.

The idea that a minority group would discriminate against the majority is madness and insane. Affirmative action was rejected in California; and this policy must be shoved down their throats.

The thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels of “Black Lives Matter,” Antifa and other far-Left groups have burned our cities; killed or hurt innocent Americans including our police; and destroyed black and other businesses. They must be put down like rabid animals.

Twitter Engages In Racist Censorship

Twitter — based in the uber-Leftist and crime-ridden San Francisco — has suspended the accounts of those who tell the truth about Oprah, Meghan Markle and others. This constitutes racism.

Oprah has admitted that she was a prostitute.

See, e.g., https://www.today.com/popculture/biographer-oprah-called-self-teen-prostitute-wbna36415458 (“Biographer: Oprah called self teen ‘prostitute’”)

By the same token, the UK’s Prince Philip warned about marrying Meghan Markle.

See, e.g., https://uk.style.yahoo.com/prince-philip-warned-prince-philip-about-marrying-suits-actress-meghan-markle-092545824.html (“Prince Philip ‘warned Harry against marrying an actress'”)

For decades, Hollywood’s “casting couch” has been the way that young, aspiring actresses have risen in Tinseltown. The sleazebag Harvey Weinstein used it to the nth degree. Jeffrey Epstein had his on the East Coast and elsewhere.

Certainly, Meghan Markle is a racist ho, who has used the casting couch to reach the British Monarchy, which Prince Philip warned about. But Twitter wants to whitewash both Oprah and her.

Having grown up in Hollywood — and having two friends who just retired at the very top of Hollywood’s two biggest studios — and having worked in the U.S. Senate where I saw young women prostitute themselves and be used and abused like groupies at rock concerts, Twitter would be engaging in wholesale and blatant racist censorship by suspending the account of anyone who tells the truth.

Twitter and Facebook are part of “Fake News,” which may have skewed the 2020 election results by “burying” the Hunter Biden laptop story, and other potentially-damaging disclosures about the Biden family’s criminal enterprises.

Also, they lionized the thug George Floyd, and championed “Black Lives Matter,” Antifa and other far-Left groups, whose thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels burned our cities, killed or hurt innocent Americans including our police, and destroyed black and other businesses.

By engaging in the wholesale distortion of the truth, and the insidious burying of history, such disseminators of “Fake News” have fanned the flames of racism against our police and other Americans. The results are evident today in unchecked crime and lawlessness, unsafe cities, and the deterioration of our great nation and the lives of millions of Americans.

Lastly, will Elon Musk clean out the woke worms at Twitter if he takes over? Time will tell. If he doesn’t, Twitter should be shut down permanently. It engages in the denial of free speech, which is a fundamental right of all Americans.

Also, like the rest of “Fake News,” it attempts to shut down and/or destroy those who support our great President Donald Trump.

Not One Single Penny Should Be Paid In Reparations

See https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11896901/San-Francisco-supervisor-wants-ADDITIONAL-50-million-Office-Reparations-handle-scheme.html (“Now woke San Francisco supervisor demands $50M for an ‘Office of Reparations’ after taskforce called for $5M to be paid to black residents”) and https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11916145/California-reparations-taskforce-increases-demanding-800BN-640BN.html (“California reparations taskforce increases amount it is demanding to $800BN from $640BN – and says it is only a ‘down-payment’ with even more money needed in future”)

California was never a slave state. And the very concept of reparations is abhorrent.
