Clearly, the Coronavirus and its mutations are not following the trajectory of the Spanish flu, which killed an estimated 50-100 million globally, and came and went within 18 months.[3] As 2021 comes to a close, the United States and other countries are shutting down again, with even worse predicted in the future.[4] Time-honored events such as American college football’s bowl games are being canceled, because of the virus.[5]
Americans do not trust their government with respect to information about the virus. And our already-stressed healthcare system may be overwhelmed, as more Americans seek critical help for Coronavirus-related medical needs. Medical professionals have not recovered fully from the effects of the first rounds of the Coronavirus pandemic; and many have taken early retirements or just quit because of the stress. Also, Americans with non-Coronavirus medical needs are being turned away again.[6]
China and Russia may be on the verge of striking at Taiwan and Ukraine, respectively; and Brain Dead Joe Biden and his Vice President, Willie Brown’s former ho Kamala Harris, seem more out of touch than ever. Lots of Americans have lost faith in our great nation, which is not limited to supporters of former President Donald Trump. They include vast numbers of Independents, who constitute an estimated 41 percent of the American electorate.[7] Many have become devout “anti-vaxxers,” who do not believe the directives issued by our federal government, state governments or local governments. As the days pass, more evidence is mounting that governments at all levels are incompetent, and incapable of addressing the problems created by the Coronavirus pandemic and its mutations.
My last article here—entitled “Have Woke Anti-Americanism And China Risen To Take The Place Of The Soviet Union, Which Replaced The Nazis’ Third Reich?”—concluded with rays of hope and optimism. It referenced another article on the subject by Conrad Black, a Canadian-born British former newspaper publisher and writer.[8] I have not changed my belief that Black may be correct, and there are reasons for long-term optimism. However, in the interim, Americans may go through even more pain and suffering, before there is a light at the proverbial “end of the tunnel.” Indeed, I concluded:
As Americans seem mired down with the reemergence of Coronavirus lockdowns and fears, and the ineptitude—if not downright dishonesty—of the Biden-Harris administration as it implodes, they need to heed what Conrad Black has written above. A powerful backlash is building against woke anti-Americanism, which will likely overwhelm it and consign it to the dustbin of history.[9]
This and other factors may temper our enemies’ actions against us.

MARXISM & COMMUNISM NEVER GO COMPLETELY “AWAY”
We have had a percentage of the population devoted to Socialism for about the past 100 years or so. They never go away completely; just go underground and wait (bide) their time until once again, conditions favor their agenda. Remember the last words of the famous Terminator: ” I’ll be Back”. Like a bad nickle or a grasshopper plague, Socialism never can be fully exterminated, only controlled.
The last time these people were in-power was during the tumultuous seventies, particularly the 1976-1980 time period under former President Jimmy Carter. I think he was our last truly incompetent leader or President. We often get the worst when we need the best. Quite ironic.
In the event that “wokeism” goes away in the next few years, we can assume the financial damage they caused will possibly last for decades. The Trillions of Dollars in new Federal debt will never go away unless of course, we were to do a partial “default”. The dollar will keep debasing regardless, only at perhaps a slower rate or speed.
Remember, Inflation came down in the early eighties, but prices overall never again regained their former lows. In-fact, it took until the mid-nineties for Middle Class Americans to fully recover from the days of double digit inflation, as far as financial status goes anyway. Not quite sure how long the recovery phase may last, probably longer than I will be around. The economy adapts in real time because there is unfortunately, no practical alternative. Printing more money only gets you so-far, after all.

I would only disagree with your contention that Jimmy Carter was our “last truly incompetent leader or President.” Bill Clinton fits that mold; and Barack Obama was and is a racist and anti-Semite who on some profound level hates America and our history.

DOES A CANDIDATE’S “BACKGROUND” FORETELL LIKELY POLICIES IN-OFFICE ?
The Basic Value Problem with all these lesser Presidents or incompetents, as the case may be, is a thread of having non-Middle Class Backgrounds. (They simply are NOT like you and me or others in the same neighborhood.)This is especially true if you were not raised in the United States or did not have a traditional (biological) Mother AND Father, raised traditionally right here at home.
So, a person’s upbringings, values, and personal background forms their views or just as often, their world view, which with all these lesser Presidents is decidedly different than those of most American Middle Class taxpayers or small businessmen.

Yes, I agree; and Barack Obama is a perfect example. As discussed in my article that was the first article of this blog in 2009, he was raised in Hawaii and Indonesia, and never lived on the American mainland until he attended Occidental College in Los Angeles.
His mother moved to Indonesia, and he was raised by her parents in Honolulu where he attended the elite Punahou School. It was there that his racism began in earnest.
He never knew his father, and spent one month with him when he came to Hawaii. My article, citing his own words from his book, is a portrait of anger, hatred and unbridled racism.

I believe there is some validity to the claim that Obama’s biological father was Frank Marshall Davis. Davis had a very shady past which included the production of, at that time, illegal pornographic photos. There is also evidence that suggests that Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, did in fact have a personal ‘relationship’ with Davis.
Based in Chicago, Davis was also a well known Communist agitator, and, Barack Obama was known to have a close personal relationship with Davis. Evidence suggests that it was through Davis that Obama developed his Marxist, anti-American philosophy. (Side note; Obama also belonged to a ‘church’ that preached an ‘Afro-Centrist Marxism.’ When the story originally broke regarding the radical ‘Rev. Wright’s church,’ I happened to be on the internet and immediately went to the church’s book store site on its website. I found numerous Marxist books, along with Malcom X, etc. but within a couple of hours, the site was scrubbed, and all of these books disappeared from the site).
What also fuels the Frank Marshall Davis rumors are photos of Obama and Davis, which show a remarkable resemblance, whereas, Obama and his supposed Kenyan father, do not. Of course, all of this is just circumstantial evidence, at best. However, it certainly adds to the mystery, and controversy, surrounding Barack Hussein Obama.

We are certainly living in interesting times. One can only wonder what this year has in store. As for me, I don’t know what tomorrow may bring, but I know Who it is that holds the future in His hands!
A little bit of good news to report that may provide some hope:
Last month I came down with COVID and immediately went on the Zelenko 7 Day Protocol for ‘low risk patients.’ I had all of the symptoms except for the loss of taste and smell. While I was very sick for the first two days, I began to see improvement by the 3rd. day. By the 5th. day, I was remarkably better. By the 6th. day, I was able to work in my yard for 4 1/2 hours. By the 7th. day, I was completely back to normal!
My wife couldn’t believe how well this worked, so much so, that as a precautionary measure, she went on the same protocol for 7 days.
Contrary to what Dr. Fauci is telling us, there are alternative treatments that are available !

First, thank you for your kind words and input to this blog throughout the year, Ray; and best wishes to you and your family for the new year!
Second, thank God that the “Zelenko 7 Day Protocol for ‘low risk patients’” worked, and you survived and are well now. That’s a miracle and a blessing unto itself.
To be frank, I have never heard of that regimen until now.
Third, God only knows what 2022 will bring. My hope is for the very best, for everyone. When I wrote my Coronavirus article last year (see https://naegeleblog.files.wordpress.com/2020/05/timothy-d.-naegele.pdf), I did so after accompanying my daughter to her youngest daughter’s college campus, to bring her home because the school was shutting down.
Then, when I was finishing the article, an old and dear friend of mine was on a ventilator and a coma had been induced at a hospital in Idaho where he was transferred after both he and his wife contracted the virus. Indeed, I dedicated my article to him because I was not certain that he would survive.
He had been an excellent athlete all of his life (e.g., skiing, surfing); and thank God he survived, and my dedication was removed before the article was published in its final form.
One thing is certain: the virus and its mutations are still with us, and extracting their toll, as our healthcare system is overloaded, and medical professionals are stressed beyond belief. We can only hope and pray for the best, and minimize the risks that we take.
