The Search For Sanity Amidst So Much Insanity

27 03 2022

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

First, it was our national elections of 2020, which many Americans view as having been rigged.  Since 1960 when the presidential election was rigged and stolen in Chicago and West Virginia by JFK, the Kennedys and their fellow Democrats, and Chicago crime boss Sam Giancana—with the help of Judith Campbell Exner, who was the mistress of JFK and Giancana, and served as their go-between—the Democrats have honed their theft of elections to a fine art.[2]

And yes, lots of us began as Democrats, but we have watched America’s predominantly-Leftist media fail to report on the criminality of Joe and Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton and so many others.[3]  In turn, this skews election results nationally. Also, the Democrats spent four years trying to impeach Donald Trump, which proved to be reckless, a fiasco, treasonous and fraud unto itself.[4]

Next, we have witnessed the flood of illegal aliens across our southern border, including human traffickers and members of the Mexican drug cartels.  Then, we witnessed rising crime and inflation; and the curtailing of domestic oil production and our dependence on foreign oil again, especially from Russia.  Also, it was the KGB-trained psychopathic megalomaniac Vladimir Putin’s destruction of Ukraine, and the Hitleresque killing of that country’s men, women and children of all ages, which might be the precursor of World War III.[5]

Overnight, each of these events occurred in the midst of China’s deadly Coronavirus pandemic, which has killed or hurt so many millions—physically, psychologically and economically.[6]  To say that we and our counterparts in other countries have been shell-shocked and buffeted by a maelstrom, is not to miss the mark.  All the while, we are attempting to maintain some modicum of sanity, when so much madness swirls around us.

The 40 million Ukrainians are giving the rest of us hope.  May God bless them and their futures.  The mayor of one Ukrainian city may have said it best: “Putin equals Hitler.  Hitler equals Putin.”  History may record that they suffered similar fates, in unmarked graves—which would send up cheers on a global basis.  It is clear that Putin must die, so he is never able to unleash such madness ever again.

Joe Biden is not our President, and Kamala Harris is not our Vice President.  They are incompetent fraudsters, who are the laughingstock of the world; and total or near-total embarrassments wherever they go.  Few believe in them, much less as America’s elected leaders, and ostensibly the leaders of the Free World.  They are pathetic, tragic parodies of what real leaders are.  As Newt Gingrich has said, they have created “psychological moments of sympathy” for the Ukrainians, which is not what they want or need.[7]

Lastly, what about Cyberattacks or EMP attacks against the United States, which might destroy our country and kill millions, while falling short of the long-feared nuclear holocaust that Russia or China might unleash?  Suppose banking, the Internet, gasoline stations, electricity, phones and other essential services are crippled or shut down completely, and we suffer slow but painful deaths as Americans?[8]  That may be the ultimate Insanity, with respect to which we can only hope and pray to God that good triumphs over evil.[9]

THE SYSTEM IS NOT THE SOLUTION

I think we can agree that many of our nation’s social and economic problems are the cumulative result of poor public policies. Our political system over the past hundred years or so has gradually stripped-away many of the controls that once kept it within a range or boundaries most of the time.

These former tools, such as the line item veto for the President or Congress voting only on one bill at a time ( prior to WWI ) preserved a level of systemic resilience. Once upon a time, our dollar was “good as gold” and a gold based or linked dollar provided yet another stabilizer against excessive govt. spending and debts.

Thus, in past decades, our system of government was designed to prevent one or two bad presidents and/ or Congresses from wrecking it. Our Republic used to have way more “checks and balances” but they have been removed by previous Progressive Administrations since 1900. Now, our political system is no longer sustainable and our entire way of life is in real jeopardy. Another problem for our economy and not a small flaw, is a gradual weakening of rule of law over time.

Rule of Law (due process) or strict adherence to ALL contracts has been a key underpinning of our financial and monetary system that once set US apart from Third World Banana Republics in-places like Central or Latin America. Today, there is Zero legal accountability on the part of U.S. Bankers. U.S. Bankers have full legal immunity for their actions (Subprime mortgage crisis and others ). U.S. Banks executives face no jail time in any case! So,all the preexisting differences that once existed between us and more undeveloped nations and economies are becoming a bit blurred, to say the least, due to the corruption of our political and economic systems.

Today our overall decline of past decades is now turning into a rapid, waterfall event. We could be destroyed, “first from within by ourselves, and lastly, from without by foreign powers” ( Will Durant ). It could all be gone in less than one generation. If a major power war occurs in ten years or so, we could all lose our lives and the penalty for any survivors would be an overnight return to a kind of pre-industrial era stone age. Think of it as a fatal shot to the head (e.g. JFK ).

Our population would quickly adjust to the new economic realities (sic. material limitations ) of such a rapid and dramatic change. We might lose over half our total urban population in a matter of months, not years. Nuclear war would extract a huge price on our population for allowing it all to happen in the first place, as was the case with Hitler era Germans.

Thus, political accountability is not something that can truly be avoided forever. The modern era of just “kicking the can down the road”, along with endless QE or money printing and (unpayable) debt creation is fast approaching a dead end, followed by steep cliff or falloff. The car is going too fast now to avoid flying over the cliff and then like an old Charles Bronson movie, blowing-up on the rocks below.

Realistically, there would be no possible recovery in the aftermath of WWIII. Done and over. Don’t fool yourselves with cliche’s that its happened before or always been this way either. The next election only applies the brakes to a runaway train to reduce its speed, not stop or redirect it. The cliff is getting ever closer. Time is running-out. The system can not respond fast enough to change course. Danger Ahead ! Brace yourself for a collision.

Thank you, Craig. Are you quoting some other source?

As I wrote recently, if Putin is stopped in his tracks (e.g., killed), Xi Jinping might be chastened. This is especially true if the GOP takes over the Congress in November.

See https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2022/03/12/terminate-putin-now-and-the-war-in-ukraine-may-end-and-world-war-iii-might-be-avoided/ (“Terminate Putin Now, And The War In Ukraine May End, And World War III Might Be Avoided”)

Donald Trump is gearing up for both November and 2024, which may change the trajectory that you describe.

I do not believe in a Superman flying down from the sky and saving our “bacon”. Life would not be fair if we were to just get-off “Scott free” for our collective folly. There is a hard lesson coming to America soon and it will include a financial demotion and much suffering and unease. The Mid-term elections will NOT alter the course of events already set in-motion: WAR.

This quoted source is VERY important for you to read because it gives real indications that global capital is already on the move and preparing for war. Its a clear sign that events are soon to overtake us all. The recommendation is clear and unusual: SELL ALL EMERGING STOCKS.

This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill. Get ready for shitstorm. The dollar will be strengthening in the coming months, as well. International capital flows are quickly selling abroad and moving to the shelter of last resort: The United States . https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/capital-flow/capital-flows-confirm-war-is-coming/

Thank you again, Craig. Yes, you have cited that source several times before.

I am a believer in the laws of economics that whatever goes up, comes down, sometimes with a thud. This may happen with the stock market and housing prices, especially.

Indeed, I predicted this sometime ago, but the Fed has continued to inflate things beyond belief.

See https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2015/07/01/global-chaos-and-helter-skelter/ (“Global Chaos And Helter Skelter”)

Russia is a pygmy state, except for nukes. My guess is that Putin will be gone, and perhaps soon.

A RETURN TO THE 1930’s ?

China is betting the farm on Putin. So, in-effect you are implying the Chinese are stupid in their new financial/military alliance with Russia or Joe Biden is going to win and is therefore “smart”. International (capital flows) are fast moving to the U.S., so the world’s big money is leaving the aggressor nations ( Russia and China) and coming to America. They are not taking any chances. This is temporarily good for the dollar and our markets, so inflation may not run away just yet.

I just watched a Zoom interview from a fellow at Wealthion on YouTube who is currently visiting relatives in Carthage, Columbia right now. He says their currency has already lost -50% of its value on the global currency exchange markets (Fx) and there many more homeless families seen on the street begging for food ( many are refugees from Venezuela). You can bet inflation in places like Columbia is out-of-control, as well.

Argentina reportedly just raised its interest rates up to… 45% to contain inflation and protect their peso. Isn’t that crazy (extreme), even for a long time, socialistic Latin Banana Republic? Global famines are coming, beginning next year in places like Yemen. Joe Biden told us yesterday famine is also coming to Europe, and then in-turn, to America. Better stock up says Glenn Beck. He is apparently correct. I think we have one more year and then shit happens and continues into 2032. Lets just see who the Last Man Standing is going to me in my neighborhood, or yours in ten years. Any bets or wagers on it?

I get the impression of a Worldwide Depression setting-in. We are so insulated from reality here in Never-Never Land of California. I think we are being lulled into a state of complacency which is going to be disrupted, starting next year (2023- onward).

Thank you again.

I do not agree that China is “betting the farm” on Putin. They are using him and hedging their bets.

Years ago, I predicted that Russia would implode, like the Soviet Union before it, with China taking Sibera that is rich in resources.

Second, I was present the day that Biden’ s career began in Washington; specifically, as a newly-minted senator one month after his wife and daughter were killed tragically.

I have seen his decline mentally over many years.

Third, lots of countries will be hurt, which are barely emerging from the Coronavirus pandemic.

Fourth, I believe Glenn Beck is a pompous ass who is not worthy of any attention. Bill O’Reilly gave him a forum, and now both are gone.

Fifth, California is not insulated at all. Both LA and San Francisco are deteriorating, crime-ridden and seedy. The same thing is true of other parts of the state, which is why Californians are moving elsewhere.

Lastly, Ukraine’s hero Zelenskyy is correct that the United States does not have a President; we have a coward in the White House.

See https://news.yahoo.com/zelenskyy-russia-sowing-deep-hatred-052152958.html (“Zelenskyy: West needs more courage in helping Ukraine fight”)

MORE ROMAN-STYLE “BREAD & CIRCUSES”

Democratic leadership know how to use and keep power better than their opposites. Key to their ability to govern at home is control through various means, such as Covid Health Emergencies, as we well know.

Democrats are masters of deception and lying but also in ingratiating the population through free stuff like stimulus checks or entitlements. Liberals use power to further divide and rule the American population, who have proved all too gullible and easily manipulated (stir- up hate of one group vs. another )

So, to further entertain and further dependencies, we have some new legislative initiatives, both state and Federal, as well.

Foremost is the proposed Gas Rebate Act of 2022 (Sponsored by California, Conn. & Ill.) Every American would receive $100 check once a month whenever the price of gas averaged at least $4.00/gallon or higher. ( First create a gas and energy shortage and high prices, then make inflation worse by printing more money than ever). Obviously, no economic competence at all.

Next, enter Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who proposes sending a $400 dollar “gas (debit) card” to every Californian with a registered automobile. Up to two gas cards and two cars per owner. No job or income required. Illegal residents too, no doubt? Rather than invest in infrastructure, Gavin Newsom is busy buying-off the voters for the coming Nov. elections.

Recall the scene at the Roman Coliseum in the classic period-piece “Gladiator” where Senators dressed in their white tunics were seated to view the latest “Games”. One good Senator leaned over and said the following to one of his colleagues: “Emperor Commodious knows his people well. He will provide free Bread and Circuses but bring the people death and they will love him for it”.

Just like America in recent decades, Rome fought many foreign wars and over the long term depleted their ranks and their treasury at the same time, further weakening the empire. Roman emperors often served short terms and like contemporary American leaders, were weak men and women who did not serve the people well, only themselves for a time. (All You Can Eat style of governing).

As we know, by the third century A.D., Rome was falling apart internally and the barbarians (sic. cartels) were making inroads inside the country. Rome was so weak at that point that they were no longer able to defeat barbarian tribes and resorted to paying them off with gold until eventually, Rome had no gold left. No army. No respect, No Republic. Nothing left but depopulated cities such as their former capital, Rome. Then came the Dark Ages or Medieval period, lasting for 800 years until the European Renaissance.

IS THIS NOT HAPPENING TODAY IN THE FORMER REPUBLIC OF THE UNITED STATES? Of course, elements of the Roman Republic are clearly present in contemporary America. Actually, the similarities are many but largely ignored by a dumbed-down, conformist, population of shepple (serfs). Back to where they came we are headed. Trends cycle Full Circle.

Thank you again.

As I have said repeatedly here, when I left the U.S. Senate I concluded that the Democrats were “evil” but smart, and the Republicans were “Neanderthals” and dumb. I have never changed that conclusion, and have been an Independent ever since.

However, the Democrats may be at the end of their rope with Brain Dead Joe and Willie Brown’s ho Kamala. In November, they may get their comeuppance, followed by the loss of the presidency in 2024, which is getting closer.

“CALIFORNIA DREAMING” IS NOT WHAT IT ONCE WAS

You are right, we are not insulated or unaffected by the decline of the State of California and the 2020 Census reflects the changes in-progress. However, different locations might be pretty immune to our recent “progress”. For example, the Upper Middle Class communities in the foothill area such as La Canada, Flintridge, Arcadia, Glendale, and parts of La Crescenta are relatively unaffected by homelessness, drugs, and related crimes.

Local residents act unconcerned (apathetic) and never discuss it with neighbors. They are seemingly content to ignore it all and reelect the same people (incumbents). Similarly for residents of higher-end beach communities like Newport Beach, Seal Beach, or Dana Point. (Very high-end and affluent, almost like we were back in the early nineties.) Orange County and places like Irvine or Newport Beach ooze both money and lawyers. Lots of residents who earn $200,000 and higher salaries in Newport Beach.

However, increasing traffic problems, accidents, and high auto and home insurance are pervasive nearly everywhere in Calif. So, the big picture resulting from Progressive, One Party, Democratic rule is a pile of xxxx but the local picture may be O.K. even still. No big exodus from the better communities, as yet. However, if interest rates rise appreciably from here, then real estate will have to adjust downward, possibly as much as – 40%.

However, once long term homeowners in suburbia see their net worth tanking as real estate valuations noticeable fall, then many will rush for the exits and sell. Problem is, too many sales will further push prices down and quickly negate the myth of a “housing shortage”. Prices will fix the problem of affordability down the road. Just don’t be surprised when the bubbles pop. Its coming, along with other major issues such as war, drought, and famine.

Thank you again.

I grew up off Sunset Boulevard in Westwood, a mile or so west of the UCLA campus. When I am in LA, I go by the old area, and then travel Sunset to the ocean.

In the afternoons, it is bumper-to-bumper traffic streaming east, seemingly consisting of those who have worked in the affluent areas of Brentwood and Malibu.

Traffic is a real “killer” in LA and so many other cities. After the Northridge Earthquake, I thought telecommuting might become the norm, but it didn’t happen.

Then, the Coronavirus pandemic lockdowns hit, and more and more Americans are telecommuting today. But those who “service” affluent homes aren’t able to do that.

Lastly, the Fed may keep “priming the pump” to avert a crash, but at some point the floodgates may open wide. My guess is that home prices may fall, and perhaps dramatically.
