The title of this article may seem absurd or even repugnant to some. But the atrocities and destruction in Ukraine may only stop when Russia’s KGB-trained killer Vladimir Putin is dead, like Adolf Hitler before him. Otherwise, such madness may continue and broaden into a much-wider war, possibly international in scope.
The savagery and brutality that Putin has unleashed is unspeakable, obscene and inhuman, with potentially much worse yet to come. Ukrainian women have been raped and tortured. Their babies have been killed or orphaned. Their husbands or significant others have died or been wounded, or taken prisoner by Putin’s animals, perhaps never to be seen alive again.
All of this is what Joseph Stalin did. When his military forces entered Berlin at the end of World War II, they raped an estimated 2 million German women, the largest mass raping and degradation of women in human history. A former secretary of mine was a young girl there; and she told me that she had seen things which were unspeakable, and no human being should ever see.
What Putin has done and continues doing defies all notions of a civilized world, and is barbaric. But this is all he knows, and it is consistent with the rest of his life.[2] None of this will end until he is dead. There is no other way, and he knows it. A tragic commentary on Russians today is that most of them support him. Thus, they too have the blood of innocents on their hands. Even if they are treated as lepers, and ostracized by much of the world for a generation, many or most will not change.
Years ago I was in Germany; and a German woman told me that the only thing wrong with Adolf Hitler was that he had not killed all of the Jews.[3] Her family had supported his rise to power in Munich; and I listened because I wanted to understand the history of the past, as well as existing German sentiments.
At the end of that tragic war, Germany was divided, with the Soviet Union taking East Berlin and East Germany, or the DDR, which became the most repressive regime in the Soviet Union’s orbit, and where Putin perfected his art of killing. He is truly a monster now, but many residents of the former DDR support him. Also, he is spreading disinformation in the United States and the West. But the truth gets through.[4]
The Godless Putin must die. How it happens and by whose hand is unknown. However, the civilized world owes it to future generations to end the atrocities that Putin has inflicted on Ukraine and elsewhere, just as Americans of what has been described as “The Greatest Generation”—and their allies in other nations—sacrificed for us.
We cannot allow World War III to begin in earnest in distant Ukraine. Putin must be put down now, like a rabid animal. And the courageous Ukrainians have shown us the way. They must not die or suffer in vain. Indeed, the resurrection of those who have died will begin with Putin’s death.

THE ONLY WAY TO PUT DOWN PUTIN REQUIRES SACRIFICE
I am afraid that sanctions and ostracization from the G-7 and from the U.N. Committee on Human Rights may not be entirely effective deterrents to further Russian military actions in the Ukraine. In-fact, the situation in Ukraine may be about to escalate up a notch after Russia lost an important Naval Vessel.
No, If we truly want to expel Putin and his army from the Ukraine, then we must go “all-out”, as we did with our allies in 1944 at Normandy Beach in France. Remember, the Nazi’s did not roll-over, but fought doggedly ever step of the way to Berlin.
So, nothing less than a full-on offensive by NATO and American Troops can be expected to free Ukraine from a brutal fate. Is President Biden ready to evoke a Military Draft if necessary to supply all the manpower needed to achieve a decisive victory? I do have reasonable doubts at this juncture. When did any of our politicians commit to a major foreign war with the intent of winning and backing (funding) the effort wholeheartedly? Come-on.
Here is what our Army may depend upon. In this short video, we see young kids fresh out of High School lining up as new recruits for a 13-Week Boot Camp at Parris Island. Do these kids look like fighting men and women who can beat the best military forces Putin has available on-the-ground? Will Putin’s 15,000 Chechen Mercenaries be deterred and run from our fighting men in the infantry or will they have them for breakfast?
In any event, we can expect to pay a terrible price the longer we delay and commit to total war (conventional), of course. I’ll just bet Putin does not expect us to mount such a vigorous offense. Maybe the Mule will Learn to Sing ? Some Reality:

Thank you, Craig.
I was an Infantry officer, and trained at Fort Benning, Georgia (“The home of the Infantry”) in the midst of the Vietnam War, before being assigned to the Defense Intelligence Agency at the Pentagon.
We have an excellent fighting force, which is operating around the world today.
Russia is a third-rate military power, at best. Take away their nukes, and they would be “nothing,” or moving in that direction.
If Putin uses nukes, or even tactical nukes, he should know that they will be used against him personally and/or against his forces. The sanctions are “pin pricks.”
In many ways, World War II/D-Day-like landings are a thing of the past. Footnote 4 of the article above discusses how the Ukrainians destroyed the Russians’ Black Sea fleet’s flagship, and more than 500 crew members.
It was a sophisticated attack, which underscored how unsophisticated Russia’s military is.

You Missed My Main Point:
We are highly unlikely to commit our men and women in the armed services to a new European foreign war at this juncture, much less institute a military draft. Putin is winning as far as meeting his objectives and doing it at a relatively low cost, as well. The matter won’t be settled and it will fester, as will the building tensions in Asia (China). As in the 1930’s, Americans prefer NOT to get involved directly or personally. America today has a very isolationist and provincial attitude and focus. Please, tell me I am wrong on my appraisal of our situation.

Craig, I did not miss your point at all.
The only thing that affects my conclusions is that we do not have a President — Biden is mentally-challenged, at best — or a Vice President, or a Speaker of the House.
Harris is totally incompetent, and way over her head; and Pelosi is “mentally-challenged” too, and may retire in the wake of November’s elections.
If someone can make strategic decisions, Putin is “boxed” or finished.
Lastly, I have been very impressed with Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy. He may have begun as a comedian, but he has shown exceptional courage and good judgment. Perhaps he can shame us into making the right decisions.
See, e.g., https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10725045/President-Zelensky-warns-prepare-Russian-nuclear-attack.html (“Zelensky warns ‘we must prepare’ for Russian nuclear attack and urges the world to stock up on anti-radiation medicine and build air raid shelters – as Kremlin exacts flagship revenge by bombarding EIGHT Ukrainian towns”)

FAIT ACCOMPLI
I do not believe our current wokish Joint Chiefs of Staff or General Command (Miley) are competent and able to put Putin in a “box” even if we had a capable President and Vice President, which as you say, we are sadly lacking presently.
We do NOT currently have the military command resources to present Putin with a Chinese-style fait accompli in the field of battle any time soon ( Eastern Europe and Ukraine).
However, a war game conducted in 2019 by our Defense Department and then Indio-Pacific Commander Admiral Davidson concluded we would lose in a Naval battle with China or in a War over Taiwan. The conclusion of these “war games” or simulation was we would be put in a real fait accompli and unable to win or repel Chinese Aggression.
America is clearly weak and unable to effectively fight. We better get with it as soon as possible because we face the stark possibility of a War on two fronts: Asia and Europe (World War III ).

Craig, until China launched the Coronavirus pandemic, its economy was weak, and its military had serious problems.
For example, it had only one aircraft carrier, which had been a Soviet-era ship that was rusting in a Russian port.
It had not been built as a carrier, and they put a flat-top on it. However, for the longest time, they could land aircraft on it.
See, e.g.,
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_aircraft_carrier_Liaoning (“Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning”)
Yes, they are doing better, but Russia’s incompetence has to send the fear of God through Xi Jinping. Like Putin, he runs a totally-repressive society, which is showing its weaknesses now in handling the Coronavirus surge in Shanghai.
. . .
Putin is the Antichrist, and Satin and the Devil incarnate, who must die now to prevent more atrocities in Ukraine and elsewhere.
Also, Russia must be destroyed, like the Soviet Union before it. Russians must be killed, like the courageous Ukrainians have been their victims. They are beasts, as one Ukrainian described them.
It should be an “open season” on hunting Russians.
