The GOP Is Dead, And Few Of Us Are Saddened By Its Demise

12 02 2021

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

When I left the U.S. Senate, I concluded that the Democrats were “evil” but smart, while the Republicans were “Neanderthals” and dumb.  I have never changed that opinion; and I have been an Independent ever since, and proudly one.  I held my nose and voted a straight GOP ticket in 2016 and 2020 for one reason only: Donald Trump.  For all intents and purposes, he is America’s first Independent President, beholden to neither party and contemptuous of both—which is why he is hated and feared by both the Left and the Right.

I began as a Democrat in a devoutly-Republican family; and I was in the Los Angeles Coliseum when John F. Kennedy delivered his acceptance speech at the 1960 Democratic convention, even though I was not old enough to vote.  After law school at Berkeley and Georgetown, and serving two years as an Army Officer at the Pentagon, I went to work on Capitol Hill instead of going back to work for a prestigious law firm in San Francisco.  I took seriously JFK’s inspiring words—written by Ted Sorensen—about serving one’s country.

Later, I learned that JFK was a total fraud, and the most despicable President in American history.[2]  Among other things he never should have been our President.  He and his family, and the Democrats and Chicago crime boss Sam Giancana rigged the 1960 elections in Chicago and West Virginia; and Richard Nixon was too honorable to put the American people through a contested election.

JFK’s girlfriend, Judith Campbell Exner, was also Giancana’s girlfriend; and she acted as their “go-between.”  JFK was not well when he was shot in Dallas; and there are reasons to believe that he might not have lived much longer.  Also, he might not have been killed that day except he was wearing a full body brace that kept him rigid, after having hurt his back frolicking with bimbos in a Los Angeles swimming pool.[3]

The Republicans were too stupid to prevent the rigging of JFK’s election; and the Democrats had perfected their skulduggery to a fine art by the time of the 2020 elections.  Now, to insure that Joe Biden’s one term presidency—at most—is not wasted, they have marshaled their skills and put the nation through an unconstitutional impeachment process.

Because they are thoroughly evil, they even have a backup plan[4], with all of this transpiring after the un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama and his co-conspirators spent more than four years trying to destroy the candidacy and presidency of Donald Trump, which is treason.  And this is occurring in the context of the Chinese Communist rulers’ sophisticated efforts to achieve global domination, after having unleashed the deadly Coronavirus pandemic and destroyed so many lives physically, psychologically and economically in the United States and globally.[5]

Against this backdrop, we have total GOP losers like Nikki Haley and Mitt Romney who fancy themselves as God’s gifts to the Universe, and as the next President of the United States.  Pat Buchanan—an adviser to Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, and a former GOP presidential aspirant himself—has written about the pathetic GOP in an article entitled the “Dark Winter of a Grand Old Party,” as follows:

It has been a dreadful three months for the Grand Old Party.

On Nov. 3, President Donald Trump seemed to have lost the White House by narrowly losing three crucial blue states he had won in 2016 — Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania — and Georgia and Arizona as well.

Trump immediately mounted an acrimonious two-month campaign to prove the election had been “rigged” and “stolen,” enlisting virtually the entire party behind his claim.

On Jan. 5, after an intra-party battle between Trump and the Georgia Republican leadership, the GOP lost both of Georgia’s Senate seats and control of the U.S. Senate.

On Jan. 6, a mob, after storming the Capitol to block a formal vote to confirm the election of Joe Biden as president, rampaged through the building for hours.

On Jan. 13, Trump was impeached by Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s House for “incitation of insurrection.”

The trial began Tuesday, featuring endless reruns of footage from the Jan. 6 occupation, showing thugs invading and trashing the Capitol and searching out Pelosi and Vice President Mike Pence.

Trump’s defense: He directed the crowd on the mall to march to the Capitol “peacefully” not violently, and the White House was unaware there might be a mob assault.

In the month since the attack on the Capitol, says The New York Times, 140,000 Republicans in 25 states have renounced their party by changing their registration. And Joe Biden’s approval rating has been in the 50s, a level Trump did not reach in four years.

There may have been a worse 90 days in Republican Party history, but it is difficult to recall exactly when.

There was the Goldwater defeat of 1964, which left the party with less than 40% of the presidential vote and less than a third of the seats in the House and Senate.

There was the Watergate year 1974, which saw Richard Nixon resign in August and the party lose 49 House seats that fall and then lose the presidency to Jimmy Carter in 1976.

Yet, the years following these political disasters were not all that bad.

Goldwater’s defeat was followed by the Nixon-led comeback in 1966, with the party picking up 47 seats and then recapturing the White House in 1968. And while Watergate was followed by the loss of Nixon’s successor Gerald Ford in 1976, Jimmy Carter’s presidency opened the door to the winningest Republican of them all, Ronald Reagan.

In short, it is not always true as Sen. John McCain mordantly observed, that the darkest hour is often just before it turns totally black.

What are the prerequisites for a Republican restoration?

As Nixon’s victory in 1968 and Reagan’s in 1980 showed, a party comeback requires, first, the perceived failure of the opposition on issues of major concern to the great majority.

In 1968, LBJ’s Great Society program had ushered in five summers of race riots, soaring crime rates, a social and cultural revolution on the campuses, and a war in Southeast Asia that was consuming 200 to 300 American lives a week.

Under Carter in 1980, there were 21% interest rates, 13% inflation, 7% unemployment and 52 U.S. hostages being held in Iran.

A second and indispensable element of a party comeback is party unity, which Nixon and Reagan produced, as Eisenhower had before them.

Whether the GOP will be united in 2022 or 2024 depends, very much today, on one man.

Still, as of today, though Biden appears personally popular, he seems to be moving leftward in a way that will play into the GOP’s hands on several issues.

Shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline, for example, is a policy decision that will kill thousands of jobs to prevent an “existential crisis” millions of workers do not see.

Second, Biden has moved the racial goalposts from equality of opportunity to “equity” for all, which can only be attained by socialist action to even out incomes and wealth through quotas, affirmative action and set-asides. Yet, voters in ultra-liberal California last fall crushed Prop 16, which would have empowered public agencies, universities and colleges to consider race, gender and ethnicity when making decisions on contracting, hiring and student admissions.

Moreover, the liberal immigration policy Biden promised last fall has already caused a stampede to our Southern border. Some 78,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended by the Border Patrol crossing in January alone. They are now being caught at the rate of 3,000 a day.

Securing the border is a populist and national security issue.

Other Trump add-ons to the traditional GOP agenda remain popular with large majorities of Americans.

Consider the “America first” issues of economic nationalism, the return of manufacturing to the United States, and keeping U.S. troops out of foreign wars where no vital U.S. interests are imperiled.

The questions of the hour are these: Will the GOP be united against an incumbent party that is moving visibly leftward and dragging the country with it — and what will Donald Trump do?[6]

Joe Biden is Trumpism’s Best Asset

11 02 2021

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich[2], has written:

The Washington establishment still can’t comprehend the dynamic which allows former President Donald Trump to withstand constant attacks and media hits without losing his core supporters.

At this point, the key to Trump’s following is President Joe Biden.

No matter how bad Trump’s lawyers are (and yesterday’s opening presentation for Trump may be the most incompetent, amateurish, and ill prepared opening I have ever seen), Biden is worse.

No matter what the accusations against former President Trump are, his base can’t leave him because the alternative is so unacceptable to them.

This hostility to the Washington establishment was driven home to me recently when Scott Rasmussen reported on a survey in which 72 percent of the American people said “political elites believe they are superior to everyday Americans.” Rasmussen found only 11 percent disagreed and 17 percent were not certain.

This idea that the elites hold themselves above the rest of us was shared by 78 percent of men and 68 percent of women who were asked in a survey of 1,200 registered voters from Feb. 4-6. This idea also seemed to bridge the urban-rural divide. Seventy-seven percent of suburban voters, 70 percent of urban voters, and 60 percent of rural voters all agreed.

There was a larger gap between the private and public sector workforces, with 82 percent of those in private business agreeing that the elites believed themselves superior and only 63 percent of government workers concurring.

Every time Biden signs another left-wing executive order (supporting tax-funded abortion, effectively eliminating Title IX protection for women’s sports, killing tens of thousands of jobs in pursuit of a radical climate agenda)[,] Trump supporters are reminded they have no alternative.

Every time the left-wing Democrats do something crazy like abolish the words mother, father, brother, sister (and two dozen other gender-specific words) from the House Rules, people are reminded that there is no alternative.

As corruption grows ($600 million stolen in Washington State unemployment funds, an estimated $31 billion stolen in California unemployment payments)[,] Americans are reminded that the left-wing elite government Democrats are not acceptable.

When Democratic governors in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, California, and elsewhere destroy freedom of religion and establish authoritarian societal rules (which they themselves promptly break)[,] Americans are reminded that the government elites do believe they are above common citizens and the law.

As the Chinese Communists build momentum around the world – and as pro-Chinese Communists are appointed to key government positions by the Biden administration – people are reminded that there is no alternative.

Biden’s strongest ally, the teachers’ unions, have proven to be Communist China’s greatest allies. A year of non-teaching has put most American students further behind their Chinese counterparts. Years of terrible bureaucracy and incompetence have destroyed opportunity for hundreds of thousands of inner city school children. It has limited their earning capacity, their learning skills, and their ability to break out from poverty and crime-ridden neighborhoods. The emphasis on weird left-wing values and “woke” education further weakens America and tears apart the common culture which has historically made America so successful. There is a breathtaking arrogance of the teachers’ unions in refusing to reopen even after the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it is healthier and better for students to be in school.

Faced with this simple choice between students and the union – between learning and hiding – President Biden has consistently sided with the teachers’ unions against science, public health, parents, and students.

As the Montgomery County, Maryland school system explained its hypocrisy in an email to parents:

“As we prepare for our return to an in-person learning experience, we anticipate a need for adults to support the supervision of students. If you know any adults with a high school diploma/GED who would be interested in monitoring students at $15.72 per hour, please encourage them to apply to be considered for the position of classroom monitor. Duties include monitoring classrooms of teachers who are providing virtual instruction to students in the building and supporting in-person teachers.”

Note that the teachers refuse to go back to work in the schools, but it seems safe enough for common, untrained parents to monitor the students in-person.

Once again, Trump supporters – and any Americans who think this is all crazy – are left with no choice.

What Washington elites don’t understand is that Trumpism is much bigger than former President Trump.

Trumpism is a broad and growing repudiation of oligarchical billionaires, giant companies censoring our lives, international companies selling out American values to make a buck in a Communist Chinese dictatorship. Trumpism is a rejection of radical social values being imposed on our children as early as 5 or 6 years of age. It is recognition that American bureaucracy [is] so incompetent a Nigerian cyber criminal gang stole $600 million from Washington State – and the incompetent official that presided over the fraud, Suzi Levine, has now been nominated by Biden for a major job at the Department of Labor overseeing $9 billion a year. (This is cronyism at its worst. She and her husband gave the Biden campaign and Democrat organizations $400,000.)

Nothing the left can say will shake the tens of millions of Americans’ belief that the elites despise them, the bureaucrats bully and cheat them, and the news media lies to them.

This is why when the mock trial of form President Trump is finished in the US Senate, President Trump will have been acquitted.

He can thank President Biden for making it easier.[3]

Lots of us began as Democrats, but will never vote for one again.  They have veered so far to the Left that they have abandoned essentially everything that made America great.  They have become the party of the un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama, who on some level has hated the United States since he was very young, growing up in Hawaii and Indonesia, and never living on the American mainland until he attended Occidental College in Los Angeles.[4]. He and his co-conspirators spent more than four years trying to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump, which is treason.

Needless to say, China’s Communist rulers in Beijing believe they have triumphed.  After having unleashed the Coronavirus—as a bioweapon or inadvertently[5]—they believe China’s global domination is at hand, probably by the end of this decade, and that the United States is finished.[6]

The Day America Died?

13 01 2021

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

One thing is certain: China’s Communist rulers in Beijing are celebrating.

Their economy was “sputtering” at best, until they launched the deadly Coronavirus (or COVID-19)—as a bioweapon or inadvertently—which has decimated the United States and other countries globally.[2]  Donald Trump was determined to hold them accountable, but now he is departing from the world’s stage, or so it would seem.  And in his place are “Brain Dead” Joe Biden, who suffers from advancing Dementia after at least two brain operations[3]; Willie Brown’s ho Kamala Harris[4]; Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi; and others of their ilk.

America’s Left is vicious; and it is determined to erase the legacy and all vestiges of Trump and his presidency.  It has attacked him endlessly since his quest for the White House began, which will continue.  Because the Republican Party is effectively “dead,” there will be little or no opposition—or resistance.   And Trump’s legions of loyal supporters, who turned out nationwide in the worst of weather conditions, may be cowed into believing that somehow they are the problem.

The thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels of “Black Lives Matter,” Antifa and other far-Left groups—which burned our cities, killed or hurt innocent Americans including our police, and destroyed black and other businesses—may become the victors, which is the world turned upside down.  It is tantamount to the Pigs in George Orwell’s prescient “Animal Farm” becoming the victors, and subjugating the other animals.[5]  America’s Left is anti-police and anti-military, and it will attempt to gut both.

How will the Democrats reverse the course of our great republic? A few examples will suffice. In all likelihood, they will (1) legalize even more drugs, nationally; (2) legalize the illegal immigrants in our country already, and give them a path to citizenship; (3) open our borders wide, with few if any impediments to entry, certainly at our southern border; (4) destroy our energy independence by embracing the hoax of man-made “global warming,” thereby making us dependent on Middle East oil again, in whole or in part, and destroying American jobs[6]; (5) open the floodgates wide to abortions and Infanticide, which have killed ten times the number of those who died in the Holocaust, since Roe v. Wade[7]; (6) implement unconstitutional gun control; (7) attempt to “pack” the Supreme Court; (8) curtail and/or criminalize free speech; (9) seek reparations for slavery, which the Democrats instituted and perpetuated in America; (10) continue to erase our history, and tear down or deface monuments[8]; and (11) cut deals with China, which will insure that nation’s global dominance in the years ahead.

Perhaps the overriding—and underlying—theme in the United States and China today is Godlessness.  Where is God in the midst of all this chaos?[9]  Aside from the deadly virus that is creating so many deaths and so much suffering around the world, China has been (1) snuffing out the fledgling democracy in Hong Kong; (2) enslaving/”reeducating” the Uyghurs and other ethnic groups that number at least 1 million; (3) threatening Taiwan and our other allies; (4) waging the savage border war with India, where they just “fried” Indian soldiers with a new EMP weapon, which might be used globally; and (5) seeking global domination.[10]

It is useful to pause and put the Trump presidency into perspective.  There was and is only one Abraham Lincoln, who saved our great nation and ended slavery.  Similarly, there was and is only one Ronald Reagan who survived an assassin’s bullet and brought down the Soviet Union without a shot being fired.  The same thing is true of Donald Trump who survived China’s Coronavirus, as well as more than four years of the “evil” Left’s efforts to destroy his candidacy and his presidency.  Much of this was orchestrated by the un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama and his co-conspirators, who committed treason.[11]

The Democrats continued to perpetuate slavery after our last Civil War ended—in the form of the KKK, segregation and later LBJ’s “Great Society” programs, which destroyed black families and consigned them to economic servitude.  Donald Trump has done the opposite by helping minorities of all colors, religions and ethnic backgrounds; and his popularity has reflected this.  Thus, he has been a threat to America’s “establishment,” both Democrats and Republicans alike.

He is the consummate “outsider,” who is beholden to neither political party, and is justifiably contemptuous of both.  His very existence has evoked unbridled hatred by Democrats and RINOs alike, such as the despicable Utah Senator, carpetbagger and failed presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.  Jealousy is not an insignificant factor—and our Supreme Court has betrayed the American people in the process[12].

As 2020 drew to a close, many Americans were thankful that they survived one of the worst years in their lives.  Many of us know people who have died, or have been at “death’s door” before recovering.  Yet, there are reasons to believe that the virus is mutating, and that it may be even more devastating in 2021 and beyond, notwithstanding the presence of one or more vaccines.[13]

If the 2020 election results were not an outgrowth of such craziness, they were certainly consistent with it—and both Orwellian and surreal.[14]  Our nation is in peril, as the Godless forces of pure evil are on the verge of taking over, which George Orwell warned about.

Payback, Bigtime!

6 02 2020

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

Where does the list begin?  With Utah’s carpetbagger from Massachusetts, Mitt Romney; the warmongering shill of a foreign country, John Bolton; the rabid partisan Nancy Pelosi; the always-despicable “Tweedledee and Tweedledum” of American politics, Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler, who are the heirs of Joe McCarthy; . . . and of course with the un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama, who must spend the rest of his life in prison for treason, at the very least—or no American should believe in the rule of law anymore.[2]

The impeachment of our great President Donald Trump has ended, for now.  He was acquitted yesterday, but Pelosi made it crystal clear that his impeachment “will last forever,” and that it will go on and on until he leaves the presidency.[3]  And she must be taken at her word.   After all, she tore up the President’s State of the Union speech in front of the nation, right after he delivered it.  A more brazen and classless act—and moment—in American history escapes this writer.

The Congressional Democrats are ruthless trailer trash.  After all, the American criminal Robert Mueller came after Trump with a pack of totally-partisan prosecutors bent on destroying this presidency, and they came up with nothing.  A big fat Z-E-R-O.  If they had anything at all, after spending more than $14 million, surely they would have used it.  Then, along came Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler, who produced nothing too.  Instead of investigating the actual criminality of the Clintons, Obama, Joe Biden and his son Hunter, and so many others, they targeted Trump like Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan had been targeted previously.

Clearly, the Democratic Party and America’s far-Left must be decimated, never to rise again.[4]  And yes, lots of us began as Democrats, but will never vote for one in the future.  Again, the Democrats’ attempted coup has been in the works for at least three years.  It has been and continues to be the goal of the thoroughly-evil Democrats to reverse the election results of 2016.  This is treason, punishable by death.[5]  Nancy Pelosi was correct and refreshingly candid when she admitted that impeachment in one form or another will never stop.  This tells us all that we need to know . . . and where to go from here.

Aborting A Trump Presidency Has Always Been The Despicable Democrats’ Goal

28 01 2020

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

This is the conclusion of Pat Buchanan—an adviser to Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, and a former GOP presidential aspirant himself.  Again, the Democratic Party and America’s far-Left must be decimated, never to rise again.  And yes, lots of us began as Democrats, but will never vote for one in the future.

Buchanan has written an article entitled “Impeachment: The Left’s Ultimate Weapon,” which states:

In 1868, President Andrew Johnson was impeached for violating the Tenure of Office Act that had been enacted by Congress over his veto in 1867. Defying the law, Johnson fired Secretary of War Edwin Stanton, without getting Senate approval, as the act required him to do.

In his 1956 Pulitzer Prize-winning book, John F. Kennedy made Edmund Ross one of the Senate’s “Profiles in Courage” for his decisive and heroic vote not to convict and remove Johnson.

Repealed in 1887, the Tenure of Office Act was later declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.

But while the act was the lethal instrument to be used in the political assassination of a president whom the Radical Republicans meant to terminate, Stanton’s ouster was not the primary cause of their fury.

What truly enraged the Radical Republicans was Johnson’s resolve to be more magnanimous toward the defeated South than they meant to be. Johnson had in mind an earlier end to the military occupation of the South and a more rapid return of the seceded states to the Union.

The story is told in the 1942 Hollywood film “Tennessee Johnson,” starring Van Heflin, which has since gone down the memory hole along with Woodrow Wilson’s White House favorite, “Birth of a Nation.”

As historians concede, the impeachment of Johnson was about Reconstruction and who would remake the South. Would it be the Southern majority that fought and lost the war, or the victorious Yankees and the “scalawags” and “carpetbaggers” laboring alongside them?

The triumphant Radical Republicans were not about conciliation. So severe were aspects of the occupation that Gen. Robert E. Lee reportedly said if he had known what was coming, he might not have quit fighting.

So, too, the impeachment of Donald Trump is not really about his 10-week delay in shipping arms to Ukraine or his postponing of a visit by Ukraine’s president until he announced an investigation of Burisma Holdings and Joe and Hunter Biden.

Even before the 2016 election, Democrats, collaborating with a like-minded media, were using the instruments of power they possess, to first prevent and then to overturn the election results of 2016.

Russiagate, the James Comey FBI investigation, the Mueller probe — aborting a Trump presidency has always been the goal.

Saturday, White House counsel Pat Cipollone succinctly described to the Senate the bottom line:

“They’re asking you to remove President Trump from the ballot in an election that’s occurring in approximately nine months. … They’re asking you to tear up all of the ballots across this country on your own initiative, take that decision away from the American people.”

To save “our democracy,” to which they pay tireless tribute, the impeachers want to ensure that the people, in a supposedly free election in 2020, are not allowed to make the same mistake they made in 2016.

To save our democracy, the House and half the Senate want to deny the America electorate one of the most important roles the people play in this republic — the exercise of their right to choose the head of state and commander in chief of the United States.

Disqualifying presidential candidates whom populists favor but elites abhor is a quite common practice — in Third World countries.

Over the weekend, we learned that John Bolton, who has offered to testify in the Senate trial, claims in his coming book that Trump made a direct link between sending military aid to Ukraine and Ukraine’s opening an investigation of the Bidens.

This has caused some Republican senators to reconsider calling witnesses, particularly Bolton, in the impeachment trial.

If four Republicans vote for witnesses, they will be doing the work Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler and Nancy Pelosi’s House failed to do in their haste to get Trump impeached by Christmas. They will be prolonging a trial set up to burn and bury their president.

The Senate should let Trump’s defenders complete their case, as the House managers and impeachers have already done. Then allow 16 hours of questioning. Then call for the verdict.

There is no treason, no bribery and no high crime in what the House managers allege. There is nothing in the articles of impeachment voted that rises to a level to justify removing a president.

Harry Truman dropped atomic bombs on defenseless cities and sent 2 million POWs back to the tender mercies of Stalin in Operation Keelhaul after World War II.

JFK greenlighted the overthrow of an ally, President Ngo Dinh Diem in South Vietnam, in a coup that ended in the murder of Diem.

LBJ ordered the wiretapping of Martin Luther King, and his White House shared the fruits of that FBI surveillance with a friendly press.

No one was impeached.

Why? Because Truman, JFK and LBJ were establishment favorites.

For Trump, a phone call with a Ukrainian president saying, “Send us your Biden file and we will have a meeting,” is a political capital crime justifying democracy’s version of a death penalty.[2]

Again, this coup has been in the works for at least three years.[3]

It is the goal of the thoroughly-evil Democrats to reverse the election results of 2016.  This is treason, punishable by death.  Indeed, as stated previously:

The un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama and his fellow co-conspirators sought to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump from Day One, and they continue to do so.  In the history of our great nation, it is doubtful that there have been any acts that rose to this level of sedition and treason except during our Civil War, when many or most of the traitors paid with their lives.  The same thing must happen now, beginning with Barack Obama.  Nothing less will suffice.[4]

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was correct and refreshingly candid when she admitted that impeachment in one form or another will never stop.[5]

The bottom line is that it is a colossal waste of time and effort. The un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama must be imprisoned, not Impeached, for the rest of his life, at the very least.  He and his fellow co-conspirators tried to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump, which is treason. And it continues to this day in the form of the bogus impeachment efforts.[6]

Until Barack Obama and his co-conspirators are bought to justice, no American should believe in the rule of law, or that justice exists. We live in a lawless America today.

An Impeachment That Will Last Forever Requires The Targeting Of Every Congressional Democrat Forever

17 01 2020

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

The Democratic Party and America’s far-Left must be decimated, never to rise again.  And yes, lots of us began as Democrats, but will never vote for one again.

Jennie Taer has written at saraacarter.com:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is moving forward with the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump[,] announcing Wednesday the House managers who will transmit the articles to the Senate in what she called “an impeachment that will last forever.”

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), House Administration Committee Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Rep. Val Demings (D-FL), Jason Crow (D-CO), Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-TX) will assume the managerial roles.

“The emphasis is on litigators, the emphasis is on comfort level in the court room, the emphasis is on making the strongest possible case to protect and defend our constitution, to seek the truth for the American people,” Pelosi said.

“I’m very proud and honored that these seven members, distinguished members, have accepted this serious responsibility, again, to protect and defend for the people defending our Democracy.

The House is also set to hold a vote later Wednesday on finalizing the transmission of the articles to the Senate for a full trial.

In anticipation of Pelosi’s move today, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters Tuesday that the trial will likely begin next Tuesday in the Senate.

“The House is likely to finally send the articles over to us tomorrow and we’ll be able to . . . in all likelihood go through some preliminary steps here this week which could well include the chief justice coming over and swearing in members of the Senate and some other kind of housekeeping measures,” Sen. McConnell said.

“We hope to be able to achieve that by consent which would set us up to begin the actual trial next Tuesday.”[2]

This coup has been in the works for at least three years.[3]

Every one of the House managers must wear a target on his or her back.  It must be “open season” with respect to each of them, as well as all Democrats in the Congress who are pursuing the farce of President Donald Trump’s impeachment.  After all, he was cleared by former FBI Director Robert Mueller and his staff of zealous, Leftist, senior prosecutors.  However, it is the goal of the thoroughly-evil Democrats now to reverse the election results of 2016.  This is treason, punishable by death.

Indeed, the un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama and his fellow co-conspirators sought to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump from Day One, and they continue to do so.  In the history of our great nation, it is doubtful that there have been any acts that rose to this level of sedition and treason except during our Civil War, when many or most of the traitors paid with their lives.  The same thing must happen now, beginning with Barack Obama.[4]  Nothing less will suffice.

When Will Barack Obama’s Trial For Sedition Begin?

15 11 2019

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

Perhaps an even more important and obvious question is when will Barack Obama go to prison—at the very least—for his many crimes including treason, which is punishable by death?[2]

He is an un-American racist and anti-Semite, who has done more damage to our great nation than any other president.[3]  Most egregious is that he is responsible for the efforts to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump, which continue to this day in the form of farcical impeachment proceedings on Capitol Hill.

Until Obama is brought to justice, no American should believe in our system of justice again.  It is a joke, and nonexistent.[4]  The Clintons—Bill and Hillary—proved that in spades as they scoffed at the system, and effectively ignored it.[5]  And yes, lots of us began as Democrats but will never vote for one again.

Having brought down Richard Nixon’s presidency, America’s Left—in the form of the Democratic Party and their so-called “mainstream media” cohorts—tried desperately to destroy the presidency of Ronald Reagan as a result of Iran Contra hearings and investigations.  Now they have moved on to their third GOP president, Trump.

Having produced nothing as a result of Robert Mueller’s extensive investigations[6], they have shifted their avenues of attack to one issue after another, hoping desperately to destroy the Trump presidency—or at least wound it fatally before next year’s elections.

They are the “Pigs” that George Orwell wrote about in his prescient Animal Farm, where all of the animals were equal until the “Pigs” accreted power and control, and reigned supreme, and were masters over—and subjugated—the other animals.[7]  They must be stopped in their tracks and destroyed, like Abraham Lincoln ended the lives and efforts of those who would have torn asunder our great nation and left it in ruins.

We are in a battle for the “soul” of America, which will determine whether it will survive or not.  The stakes are every bit as high as those facing Lincoln, and his two key generals Ulysses S. Grant and William Tecumseh Sherman.  Lincoln went through lots of military commanders until he found the right two; and the three of them saved our nation from certain destruction.[8]

Why Do So Many Americans Support Socialism?

11 11 2019

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

The title of this article opens up vistas that few Americans have ever thought about, much less explored fully.  Many if not most are idealistic, and want to survive and want for the very best of their loved ones; and they want the best for those whom they know, and for their fellow Americans.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was no poverty or homelessness, or unattended and unremedied illnesses, and that every American lived a life that was healthy and fulfilling, inspirational and constructive.  On February 26, 2010, I published an article here that was entitled, “America: A Rich Tapestry Of Life.”  In it, I quoted an interview that I had given:

I believe in this country, and I believe in Americans of all colors, faiths and backgrounds. The United States is the only true melting pot in the world, with its populace representing a United Nations of the world’s peoples. Yes, we fight and we even discriminate, but when times are tough—like after 9/11—we come together as one nation, which makes this country so great and special. Also, all of us or our ancestors came here from somewhere else. Even the American Indians are descended from those who crossed the Bering Strait—or the “Bering land bridge”—according to anthropologists.[2]

I believe those words today, as fervently as ever.  To the best of my beliefs, I am not jealous of anyone; and I want Americans of all shapes, sizes and colors to succeed and be happy and fulfilled.  In a new article—”Socialism guarantees failure and suffering – So why do so many Americans support it?”—Victor Davis Hanson, a senior fellow in military history at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, has written:

Multiple forms of socialism, from hard Stalinism to European redistribution, continue to fail.

Russia and China are still struggling with the legacy of genocidal communism. Eastern Europe still suffers after decades of Soviet-imposed socialist chaos.

Cuba, Nicaragua, North Korea and Venezuela are unfree, poor and failed states. Baathism — a synonym for pan-Arabic socialism — ruined the postwar Middle East.

The soft-socialist European Union countries are stagnant and mostly dependent on the U.S. military for their protection.

In contrast, current American deregulation, tax cuts and incentives, and record energy production have given the United States the strongest economy in the world.

So why, then, are two of the top three Democratic presidential contenders — Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., — either overtly or implicitly running on socialist agendas? Why are the heartthrobs of American progressives — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) — calling for socialist redistributionist schemes?

Why do polls show that a majority of American millennials have a favorable view of socialism?

There are lots of catalysts for the new socialism.

Massive immigration is changing the demography of the United States. The number of foreign-born U.S. residents and their children has been estimated at almost 60 million, or about 1 in 5 U.S. residents. Some 27 percent of California residents were born outside of America.

Many of these immigrants flee from poor areas of Latin America, Mexico, Africa and Asia that were wrecked by statism and socialism. Often, they arrive in the U.S. unaware of economic and political alternatives to state socialism.

When they reach the U.S. — often without marketable skills and unable to speak English — many assume that America will simply offer a far better version of the statism from which they fled. Consequently, many take for granted that government will provide them an array of social services, and they become supportive of progressive socialism.

Another culprit for the new socialist craze is the strange leftward drift of the very wealthy in Silicon Valley, in corporate America and on Wall Street.

Some of the new progressive rich feel guilty about their unprecedented wealth. So they champion redistribution as the sort of medieval penance that alleviates guilt.

Yet the influential and monied classes usually are so well off that higher taxes hardly affect them. Instead, redistributionist taxation hurts the struggling middle classes.

In California, it became hip for wealthy leftists to promote socialism from their Malibu, Menlo Park or Mill Valley enclaves — while still living as privileged capitalists. Meanwhile, it proved nearly impossible for the middle classes of Stockton and Bakersfield to cope with the reality of crushing taxes and terrible social services.

From 2008 to 2017, the now-multimillionaire Barack Obama, first as candidate and then as president, used all sorts of cool socialist slogans, from “spread the wealth around” and “now is not the time to profit” to “you didn’t build that” and “at a certain point you’ve made enough money.”

Universities bear much of the blame. Their manipulation of the federal government to guarantee student loans empowered them to jack up college costs without any accountability. Liberal college administrators and faculty did not care much when graduates left campus poorly educated and unable to market their expensive degrees.

More than 45 million borrowers now struggle with nearly $1.6 trillion in collective student debt, with climbing interest. That indebtedness has delayed — or ended — the traditional forces that encourage conservatism and traditionalism, such as getting married, having children and buying a home.

Instead, a generation of single, childless and mostly urban youth feels cheated that their high-priced degrees did not earn them competitive salaries. Millions of embittered college graduates will never be able to pay off what they owe — and want some entity to pay off their debts.

In paradoxical fashion, teenagers were considered savvy adults who were mature enough to take on gargantuan loans. But they were also treated like fragile preteens who were warned that the world outside their campus sanctuaries was downright mean, sexist, racist, homophobic and unfair.

Finally, doctrinaire Republicans for decades mouthed orthodoxies of free rather than fair trade. They embraced the idea of creative destruction of industries, but without worrying about the real-life consequences for the unemployed in the hollowed out red-state interior.

Add up a lost generation of woke and broke college graduates, waves of impoverished immigrants without much knowledge of American economic traditions, wealthy advocates of boutique socialism and asleep-at-the-wheel Republicans, and it becomes clear why historically destructive socialism is suddenly seen as cool.

Regrettably, sometimes the naive and disaffected must relearn that their pie-in-the sky socialist medicine is far worse than the perceived malady of inequality.

And unfortunately, when socialists gain power, they don’t destroy just themselves. They usually take everyone else down with them as well.[3]

Of course Hanson is correct, about everything that he wrote above.  I have written about all or most of these subjects, and other related issues that Hanson did not address.[4]

I have been a multi-millionaire, and I have been homeless.  I have known billionaires and lots of famous people[5], and plenty of millionaires; and I have known the homeless who sleep out at night, in all kinds of weather.  Each is a human being and a child of God—even the most committed Atheists and Agnostics, or so I believe.[6]  I have helped millions of Americans as a result of legislation that I wrote and shepherded through the Congress when I worked there[7]; and I try to help the least among us.  I am no saint, but I try.

Hanson is correct: “Russia and China are still struggling with the legacy of genocidal communism.”  I have written about these events, which produced so much suffering for millions.[8]  And I have written about senseless wars[9]; human trafficking and other forms of slavery[10]; weapons systems that might kill us in the blink of an eye[11]; the inhumanity of many to their fellow beings[12]; natural disasters and tragedies over which we have no control[13]; discrimination[14]; and related subjects[15][16].

Hanson’s last paragraph is of utmost importance.  It mirrors what George Orwell wrote in his prescient Animal Farm, where all of the animals were equal until the “Pigs” accreted power and control, and reigned supreme, and were masters over—and subjugated—the other animals.[17]  This is the net effect of Socialism, in actuality.  It is not some utopian dream that is manifested for the benefit of Mankind.  That is an ignorant myth, which history has debunked.  Would all of us wish that we had never gone through hard times, or suffered in any respect?  Of course so, but that is not reality, or Life.

The Democratic Party Defines Itself As The Party Of Women, Gays, Hispanics, African Americans And Other People Of Color

8 11 2019

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

For openers, African-Americans (or blacks) are by no means monolithic.  They have been used and abused by the Democrats for generations; and lots of them have been benefiting economically from the policies of President Trump.[2]  The same is true of Hispanics and other “people of color.”  And yes too, lots of us began as Democrats, but will never vote for one again.

The title of this article is the conclusion of Pat Buchanan—an adviser to Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, and a former GOP presidential aspirant himself—who has written:

After celebrating Tuesday’s takeover of Virginia’s legislature and the Kentucky governorship, the liberal establishment appears poised to crush its biggest threat: the surging candidacy of Elizabeth Warren.

From the tempo and tenor of the attacks, establishment fears of Warren’s success are real — and understandably so.

Two Wednesday polls show Warren running even with Joe Biden nationally. And a new Iowa poll shows Warren in front of the field with 20%, and Biden falling into fourth place with 15%.

The danger for Democrats: While Warren is now the party’s front-runner, they fear she’s a sure loser to Donald Trump in 2020.

And, again, with reason. A recent poll of six battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Florida and Michigan, showed Trump beating or tying Warren in all of them except for Arizona.

Nightmare scenario: Warren wins the nomination, but when her neo-Marxist agenda is exposed, Middle America recoils in horror.

The economic elite is already sounding the alarm.

Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan Chase says Warren “vilifies successful people.” Microsoft founder Bill Gates says her proposals would imperil “innovation” and “capital formation.”

Writing in The New York Times, Obama adviser Steven Rattner describes a Warren presidency as “a terrifying prospect.”

Warren would “extend the reach and weight of the federal government far further into the economy than anything even Franklin Roosevelt dreamed of (and) … turn America’s uniquely successful public-private relationship into a dirigiste European-style system.”

“If you want to live in France” — where half the GDP is controlled by the regime — says Rattner, “Warren should be your candidate.”

What finally shocked anti-Warren liberals into action was her recent revelation of how she intends to pay for her “Medicare for all” plan.

Warren’s plan would require at least $23 trillion more in federal spending over a decade. Other experts say the added costs could run to $32 trillion, raising the U.S. government’s share of the GDP by one-half and abolishing the private health insurance plans of 156 million Americans.

“Many of America’s global champions, like banks and tech giants, would be dismembered,” writes Rattner, “Shale fracking would be banned, which would send oil and natural gas prices soaring and cost millions of Americans their jobs.”

Beyond “Medicare for All,” Warren has other plans. Universal child care and free schooling from pre-kindergarten through college and the cancelation of student loans, plus a new look at reparations for slavery.

How would President Warren pay for all her “plans”?

She would raise the corporate rate to 35% from 21%, and slam a 40% tax on the profits of companies that try to flee the country.

She would raise the capital gains tax, impose new estate taxes, raise Social Security taxes on folks with higher incomes, and confiscate 2% of the wealth of those with $50 million in assets and 3% of the wealth of those with $1 billion, every year.

Writes Politifact: “All told, we counted $7 trillion in new spending over a 10-year period, and that’s without Medicare for All. On the flip side, Warren offered specific tax proposals that came to $4.55 trillion.”

Still, Warren’s socialism is not what her main rivals, all white men, are zeroing in on. They’ve decided to play hardball.

Thursday, under a headline, “Warren Faces Accusations that She’s ‘Angry,’ Which Supporters Say is Sexist,” The Washington Post reported:

“Two of the leading male candidates in the Democratic presidential primary race — Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg — have escalated separate lines of attack as they attempt to counter the field’s most prominent woman: Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is antagonistic and angry.”

Warren has a “my way or the highway” approach, said Buttigieg, she is “so absorbed in the fighting that it is as though fighting were the purpose.”

Biden says Warren, who has a real shot at taking the nomination, reflects “an angry unyielding viewpoint that has crept into our politics.”

This is “treacherous,” warns the Post, “given that many Democrats remain upset over what they view as the sexist treatment of Hillary Clinton, the party’s last nominee.”

The Democratic Party today defines itself as an inclusive party of women, gays, Hispanics, African Americans and other people of color.

Yet three months out from the decisive early contests of Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina, the party is going into the semifinals of its contest for a leader and future president without a single person of color in the final four.

Moreover, the three white males are denigrating and piling on the woman who is the front-runner with attacks on her personality for which conservatives, if they used such tactics, would be charged with “dog-whistling” the white working class.

When one looks at the approval-disapproval rating of the president, re-election appears problematic. When one looks at the Democrats’ agenda and field of candidates, the odds of Trump’s re-election seem a good deal better.

This thing is by no means over.[3]

Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren is going nowhere fast.  She has lied and lied again.  This is her “M.O.” or Modus Operandi, a Latin phrase that refers to a pattern of behavior.  She is a wacko, which is how she has defined herself from the very beginning when she claimed that she was a Native American (or Indian), yet refused to take a DNA test to prove it.  After all, she had made such claims for much of her life, and used them to her advantage to gain advancement in academia and elsewhere.[4]

In the fable “The Emperor’s New Clothes” by Hans Christian Andersen, two make-believe weavers purport to spin a fine suit of clothes for the emperor, which is made of beautiful material that possesses the wonderful quality of being invisible to any man who is unfit for his office or unpardonably stupid. The potentate and his subjects acknowledge that the garments are very fine indeed. That is, until one little child sees the emperor marching in a procession, and says at last: “But he has nothing on at all”—and the grand swindle is exposed for all to see.[5]

Like the potentate in the fable, Elizabeth Warren is a fraud, pure and simple.  It is who she is, and it has defined her and continues to do so.  It is her “M.O.” that she cannot shake.  Like her fellow Massachusetts Governor Mike Dukakis, she is destined for the dustheap of history, as a footnote if that much.[6]

Bring It On!

30 10 2019

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

Some of us have lived through this period of time before.  Only the faces change.

We were in Berkeley for the “Free Speech” and anti-Vietnam War riots.  We were in Washington, D.C. when the city was set ablaze after Martin Luther King, Jr. was killed in Memphis.  We were there when Watergate broke, and we lived through that too.  We lived with 9/11, and watched Iraq turn into a graveyard for so many Americans and their dreams, while still others were maimed for life, and trillions of dollars were wasted . . . for nothing.[2]

The title of this article is the rallying cry of Pat Buchanan—an adviser to Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, and a former GOP presidential aspirant himself—who has written:

Sunday morning, President Trump announced that the world’s worst terrorist, the head of the ISIS caliphate who had raped an American woman, had received justice.

About to be captured and carried off in a helicopter by U.S. special forces, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi blew himself up with an explosive vest in a compound in northwest Syria. The long search for the sadist and fanatic had ended in triumph. No U.S. troops were lost.

That evening, Trump went out to the fifth game of the World Series between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros. As his face was flashed on the big screen, the stadium erupted with people booing and chanting, “Impeach Trump!” and “Lock him up!”

That Trump is not cheered at a D.C. baseball game is not odd, for the spectators are not working-class Trumpians. Series tickets cost hundreds, even thousands, of dollars, and the spectators are drawn from a town that gave Donald Trump 4% of its votes in 2016.

The mutual distrust in this city was on display when Trump told the press yesterday morning that he had not alerted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the impending U.S. raid, because he was afraid of leaks.

“I wanted to make sure this kept secret,” said Trump. “I don’t want to have people lost. … We were going to notify them last night, but we decided not to do that because Washington leaks like nothing I’ve ever seen before. … A leak could have cost the death of all of them.”

The Russians, however, were alerted we were coming, as they control the airspace over the compound we were targeting. And Trump thanked the Russians for their cooperation.

Also left out of the loop was the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, one of the “Gang of Eight” that is almost always given a heads-up about major military operations. Schiff is conducting secret hearings to drum up support for Trump’s impeachment and removal for “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

It is imprecise to say this city is divided over Trump. It is rather almost solidly united behind what millions of Middle Americans believe to be a deep state-media conspiracy to overturn the 2016 election and effect a coup d’etat against a president whom this city detests but fears it cannot defeat in 2020.

A week ago, this writer noted the astonishing number of foreign capitals that were on fire with protests that go beyond marching and demonstrating — to riot, rebellion and even revolution. As with the “yellow vest” protests that shut down Paris on many weekends this past year, and the disorders in Hong Kong, the epidemic had spread to Beirut, Barcelona and Santiago, Chile.

In Iraq, over 200 have been killed and thousands injured in protests this month against the Baghdad regime. In Algeria, now six months after President Abdelaziz Bouteflika was forced to step down, rioters still battle the army.

The thread common to these uncivil, often-violent disruptions?

A conviction that the cause the protesters are advancing is so critical, noble and necessary that democratic rules may be dispensed with and law and order suspended in pursuit of the cause.

Saturday’s Washington Post describes the mindset that is taking hold in D.C. among militants, using as an example the Extinction Rebellion group’s dragging of a boat into the street at 16th & K to block traffic for hours to call attention to rising sea levels.

“Blocking traffic may only be the beginning,” wrote Marissa Lang. “As protests in the District continue at a rate of about two a day, activists looking to stand out from crowds that march near the White House or the Mall have resorted to more disruptive measures in recent weeks — a tactic that experts said will probably escalate.”

She cites sociology professor Dana Fisher: “There has been a lot of discussion among people on the left who use protests as a tactic that peaceful, traditional protests may not be enough. … That could mean … more people blocking traffic. … I think we’re going to see a lot more people coming into D.C. to get arrested.”

Fisher continues: “When activists don’t feel like their grievances are being heard or responded to … the natural progression is to get more confrontational and, sometimes, to get more violent. … I’m … surprised it’s taken so long.”

Who wins when leftists go lawless — in liberal citadels like D.C.?

This thinking echoes the famous “bodies upon the gears” speech of Mario Savio at the famous 1964 University of California, Berkeley campus riot: “There’s a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that … you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you’ve got to make it stop!”

After Berkeley came civil disobedience; the burning of ROTC buildings; and urban riots marked by looting, shooting and arson. Out of that came Richard Nixon’s 49-state landslide, Ronald Reagan, and Republican triumphs in five of six presidential elections starting in 1968.

Bring it on.[3]

To those at the stadium in our nation’s capital who booed the President—and chanted, “Impeach Trump!” and “Lock him up!”—they are the dregs of society, without a purpose in life.  Pat Buchanan is right: they are not working-class Americans, but the privileged elite; and they occupy a town that gave Donald Trump only four percent of its votes in 2016.  They do not relate to you and me.  They are like the Hollywood-do-nothings who prance around spouting meaningless platitudes, and feeling entitled.

Trump is right not to trust any Democrats, or those on the far-Left, or their media lackeys—or the RINOs in the Republican Party such as the despicable Mitt Romney.  Yes, lots of us are ashamed that we voted for him and the equally-despicable Paul Ryan and others.[4]  And yes too, Russia’s killer and dictator-for-life Vladimir Putin whom I despise is more trustworthy than the un-American racist anti-Semite Barack Obama and his co-conspirators who have engaged in sedition, such as Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters and Jerry Nadler.[5]

A rising number of Americans are understanding, finally, that we are in the midst of this great nation’s second Civil War: a fight for the soul of America, which will determine its destiny for years and generations to come.  Abraham Lincoln stood at a similar precipice, and stared into the abyss, and he destroyed the enemy.  While it took generations to heal, he saved our great Republic.  Had he failed, we might not be one nation today.[6]  Donald Trump is his worthy successor.
