DRUDGE Has Gone Over To The Dark Side

There was a time when the “Drudge Report” was worth visiting, but not anymore. Its founder Matt Drudge is a phantom who may be long gone[2]; and the news-amalgamating website is no longer even remotely fair and balanced.

It is just another totally-biased, anti-Trump, far-Left website that isn’t worth visiting—like CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times and Washington Post.[3] Worse than pure unadulterated “drudgery,” the website has become an abomination, and an aggregator of far-Left news that isn’t fit to print.

Hannibal Lecter Lives

The insane have taken over the asylum.[2] Every day we read or hear about crimes, atrocities and genocidal actions that are more sinister, gruesome and egregious than the last. At times, we wonder whether our sensitivities can be shocked even more, and then they are.[3]

Madness and godlessness seem to be purveyed by deviants and freaks of nature everywhere[4], in the United States and globally. Throw in the fact that George Orwell’s prescient “Animal Farm” seems to be operative. All of the animals were equal until the Pigs accreted power and reigned supreme, and subjugated the other animals. Then and now, madness reigns.[5]

Also, most Americans are oblivious to the fact that a first-strike EMP Attack might kill all but 30 million of us.[6] Basically, nothing is “hardened” against it. Indeed, our military’s command-and-control center at Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado was just reactivated in recent years.[7]

An enemy would be smart to strike before brain-dead Joe Biden leaves the presidency—and parenthetically, while we have no serving Secretary of Defense, and Willie Brown’s former ho Kamala Harris is the Vice President. In the vernacular of chess, such an enemy might advance from check to checkmate.

. . .

And then there’s Artificial Intelligence (or AI), and its risks and repercussions.[8] Will God intervene to save us? The good news: it is unlikely that God has given up on the “human experiment.”[9]

The Great Schultz

Richard Schultz was a pistol. I met him through a mutual friend, Rich Thomas of Washington, D.C.—who covered the White House, Fed and other parts of our nation’s Capitol in the glory days of Newsweek magazine.[2] The three of us traveled on the Loon, his sailboat, essentially from his summer home at Northport near Traverse City, Michigan, visiting the Fayette Historic State Park, and staying overnight in its small harbor.[3]

Our goal had been to explore Green Bay, but our plans were truncated when the boat’s engine gave out. We had to be towed into a small harbor by the harbormaster, rather than risk smashing into rocks that guarded the harbor’s entrance. Perhaps it was this ordeal that bonded us, and we became fast friends.

During the winter months, he and his lovely wife Pauline would escape to their Spanish-styled home in the hills of Montecito, overlooking the Channel Islands off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. It was an idyllic life, which was marred by her death at age 88[4], but he carried on.

Fires came close to the home, as did torrential rains and mudslides; and he wrote about them here.[5] What he did not say was how talented he was as a plastic surgeon. He had led teams of other doctors to parts of the world where they would offer free services to those in need. Nor did he mention the books and scholarly articles that he had written.[6]

Invariably, he would comment on my articles here, publicly or privately, always sharing his no-holds-barred, unvarnished truth. He was a rare and very loving individual, who never shied away from letting those close to him know what he believed. When one passes the mid-90s, you’ve earned it.

Like so many who have gone before, he is missed deeply.[7] But sentimentality was not one of his virtues. He would dismiss sappy accolades now, and tell us to get on with living—which is why he was and will always be the very special Great Schultz.

If Joe Biden, Kamala Harris Or Michelle Obama Is Elected In November, Lots Of Us Will Give Up On America

There are zero doubts that Joe Biden is in cognitive decline, which will only get progressively worse.[2]  His Democrats—to which some of us belonged before they veered so far to the Left—are running like mice from a sinking ship.  Their alternative at this moment: Kamala Harris, who was San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown’s former ho.[3]  Or Michelle Obama, who is an angry black racist.

Some devout Democrats will say: “So what?  We didn’t need you anyway.”

•  We opened our borders wide—to criminals of every sort, and non-stop drugs—which is just fine with us; and we did it without your help.”

•  “We ignited foreign wars (e.g., in Ukraine, the Middle East, and the Pacific), which may lead to World War III—in which you and/or your loved ones are drafted to fight and die—and we did it without your help.”

•  “We pushed Electric Vehicles (EVs)—which can be unsafe and Americans don’t want[4]—and banned cooking with gas, without you.”

•  “We fostered crime whenever and wherever we could; we have destroyed America’s cities; we have savaged America’s police; and George Floyd remains our hero even if he wasn’t yours.”

•  “We have pushed for abortions on demand; and we are proud of the fact that more than 55 million have died since Infanticide was legalized in Roe v. Wade.”

•  “We are proud of the facts too that Joe Biden is in our White House; Kamala Harris is waiting for him to croak; and Michelle Obama may actually replace him.”

“To your way of thinking, we have turned America upside down, and spread madness everywhere, as if the inmates were running the asylum.  However, we have saved the United States—like Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama did—and again, we have done this without any help from you!”

Is America in a civil war, pitting those who love the shape that our country is in, against those who are prepared to jump ship if the present trends continue—or actually get far worse?  Perhaps so.  The last one was very costly in terms of American lives lost.  World War III will be truly incomprehensible.
