U.S. Attorney General Barr Is Appalled: Give Americans A Break!

11 08 2019

 By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

U.S. Attorney General William Barr stated that he was “appalled” by alleged pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s death in his jail cell, and he added:

Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death.[2]

How very quaint.  The FBI’s leadership has been shown to be corrupt and treasonous, beyond the ability of most Americans to fathom.  Barack Obama—and key leaders and intelligence operatives under him—initiated concerted efforts to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump.  Yet, none of these co-conspirators has been charged with any crimes, nor spent a day in prison.  Until this happens, no American should believe in our system of justice again.[3]

Similarly, the Inspector General’s office in the U.S. Department of Justice is often described as the location “where the truth goes to die.”[4]  America is lawless today, and Epstein’s life and death are the latest examples.  It is alleged that he and others “recruited” young girls for sex, and transported them via Epstein’s “Lolita Express” to the Virgin Islands, and provided them to prominent Americans and others—including Queen Elizabeth’s son, the UK’s Prince Andrew.[5]

Pedophiles, rapists, human traffickers and those who kill while engaging in the harvesting of human body parts are subhuman.[6]  They are on a par with those who engage in mass murder[7]; and they are just as savage and evil.  Jeffrey Epstein, Roman Polanski, Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein are shining examples.[8]

The #MeToo movement was started by women (and men) standing up for the rights of women, in the face of Hollywood’s century-old violence and depravity—which seems to know no end or bounds.  Women continue to be exploited sexually, and the beat goes on, unabated.[9]

When all of the facts come out concerning Epstein, the world may see a level of depravity and pedophilia that boggles the mind and turns the stomachs of even the most hardened citizens of the world. Only the torture and mass killings of human beings, and the destruction of minds from the use of drugs[10], may be more egregious.

America and the world are in the midst and grips of the “Kardashian era,” where “sex sells.”[11]  However, the seamy side of this is far darker than the prostitution and promiscuity of the past.  It is pure evil, personified.

[Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged former sex slave Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims she was intimate with Prince Andrew at the London home of Epstein’s alleged “Madam,” UK publishing tycoon Robert Maxwell’s daughter Ghislaine Maxwell (on the right), in unsealed files that show Giuffre, then 17, with Prince Andrew and Maxwell at Maxwell’s London townhouse in 2001]

MAD MEN

Obviously, Epstein Had to go. Just another dead body in a long list of casualties surrounding the Clinton Gang. Misdirect the public to stage left and Russia collusion story (Mueller Report ). How about AOC? Take your pick.

The first attempt at suicide by inmate Jeffrey Epstein. How can someone be so cursed to draw a rogue cell mate by chance, or was it intentional? Cloak and Dagger stuff. Deep State always get their man in the end. As old pirates in the Caribbean know, “Dead Men Tell No Tales”. End of this story and end of the trail. The scent grows cold.

You may be correct, Craig. To repeat the line from the film Casablanca:

Thank you, Craig. I have watched the video; and the overriding theme is that Epstein’s death is another example of why Americans should not believe in the rule of law in our great nation anymore. I agree with that.

However, as my article above states emphatically, when a concerted effort by Barack Obama and other co-conspirators—to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump—can be covered up, no American should ever believe in American justice again.

It simply does not exist.

WATCHING HISTORY REPEAT

I think another equally important message to take away from Epstein & Company is that the Swamp and Deep State are in-place and largely immune to any elected officials attempts to root them out. They view guys like President Trump as a temporary hurricane or tropical storm to be weathered out in-place. Time is on their side and evidently, by default anyway, most of the American Public.

Thus all citizens are culpable in this recent scandal and others (the late Attorney, Vincent Foster ), as well. Another body without motive (yet another “suicide”). We are slaves to the Deep State. Get ready for a dictator of sorts in not so many more years. Decline and Fall of Rome, Version II.

Barr is a product of the “Deep State,” and obviously so is Horowitz. Jeff Sessions fell victim to its machinations; however, as Americans who believe in our great nation, we can only hope—and yes, pray—that justice will prevail.

All along, I felt Epstein would not make it to trial.

IMO, he was an operative of a foreign government that set him up to gather evidence that could be used in the future for political blackmail.

That nation, IMO, is a certain, pivotal nation that is located in the Middle East. (Ann Coulter alluded to this recently as well).

Epstein’s trial would have revealed way too much as to how deep the global child sex trafficking network runs. We saw a glimpse of this with the recent release of some of the documents related to the case. What was released was explosive, to say the least. BUT, it represented only the proverbial tip of the iceberg.

We are living in very dangerous times. The government continues to operate more and more as if it were a banana republic. I have a sense that complete chaos awaits just around the corner.

I sure hope my inclinations are dead wrong.

Again, thank you, Ray. I too hope and pray that your “inclinations are dead wrong.”

. . .

I am reminded of what you wrote on October 19, 2013:

I personally am convinced that BOTH parties are leading this country to fiscal and social ruin. With the Democrats, it is full speed ahead in the passing lane. With the GOP, it is the slower lane, but both are travelling along the same highway that ultimately leads to the same destination. I personally do not believe the leadership of the GOP has what it takes to do what is necessary to save our system from becoming just another European Socialist super state. They spout the rhetoric, but when it comes to real action they usually fold their cards. The time very well might be ripe for a viable third party. There certainly seems to be enough people that are fed up with the way the two parties have operated to make it happen!

This is consistent with my beliefs and what I have written. In many ways, Donald Trump is our first Independent president, beholden to neither party—or to the so-called “mainstream media”—which is why he is attacked relentlessly by all.

H. Craig Bradley wrote (in part):

“Get ready for a dictator of sorts in not so many more years. Decline and Fall of Rome, Version II.”

Sooner or later, we will be facing chaos in this society that will probably (IMO) dwarf that of the Great Depression. My father went through the Great Depression and I grew up listening to his accounts and experiences. I recall him saying that “no one had anything, but what they did have, they were willing to share with others that had less than they did.” I’ve read many similar accounts describing the same. The only reason I bring this up is this; can you even begin to imagine the highly materialistic people of America TODAY acting in such a charitable manner?

I read recently that the American people are in debt to the tune of a staggering $14 Trillion. Their “high life” is a marriage that is being financed by their future. Mortgage debt has AGAIN reached an “all time high,” which was the same case when real estate collapsed back in 2007. Pension funds are seriously underfunded. The federal government continues to borrow and spend beyond comprehension, with much of their outlays going to pay for the interest on the national debt. What happens when interest rates are forced to rise off of their unsustainable, historic lows? Serious weaknesses in the residential and commercial real estate markets are showing up nationwide, with decreasing listing & selling prices, in spite of historically low interest rates. More could be said, but I will stop here.

Our economy is operating on smoke and mirrors that is totally dependent upon debt, requiring two (or more) incomes to service that debt, making the American people “servants to the lenders.” The sham economy is also highly dependent upon the US Dollar remaining as the world’s reserve currency. However, more and more nations are working towards ending their dependency on the Dollar for trade.

On a personal note regarding personal household debt … over the years, I’ve talked to numerous young people, encouraging them to become “debt free” and to “live within their means.” Usually, I’m met with a wry sort of smile and a look on their face that indicates that they think I’m a little nuts. Statistics prove that young people actually embrace debt as a means to achieve their lifestyle, without considering at all that they are actually slaves to their high interest debt.

I believe that one day, perhaps soon, the day of reckoning will arrive. It will come, for the most part, as a shock to the uninformed populace. Uninformed, they will turn to the very people that created this mess in the first place to solve all of their problems. In what form will that “answer” appear?

Could a charismatic, Hitler type be “sold” to the American people? Most Americans seem to think it couldn’t. However, it happened in Germany, a nation that was, next to Britain, the most educated nation in Europe with a long history of freedom seeking people.

When and if the debt dependent economy collapses, it will leave tens of millions without means and hope. Will we be morally prepared for such a crisis? An honest look at the state of our culture should provide that answer.

Chaos produces desperation. It also offers opportunity to despots. Without some type of “great awakening,” I can’t see a way in which we avoid morphing into some type of dictatorship.

INCREMENTALISM

Incremental, slow changes all together often coalesce to form a trend, both political and economic. Most people ignore the overall long term trend and pretend things will just “get better”. ( They live in their own, “private Idaho” ).

Optimism is characteristically, our national attitude, but we have to ignore quite a lot of other factors (denial) to maintain our (collective) exuberance. Denial or rationalization and recency bias works or seems to “work” for a time. It serves its purpose.

However, deep underneath our superficial veneer, most Americans are all too commonly insecure at their core and stretched to their limits as far as household debt goes. In fact, just read in the WSJ that nationally, home mortgage debt has finally exceeded the previous high achieved in 2007. We are now far ahead on paper as far as overall asset (real estate) valuations in most large urban areas, anyway. Growth rates (GDP) nationally remain below normal and have been for many, many years (10). Low interest rates still reign supreme. We can not possibly “normalize”. We are doing fine, or so we think. Keep the consumer happy is the priority.

Again, we want to pretend that cycles are not relevant or that its a permanent high. Delusions serve their purposes. Confidence allows more consuming and borrowing and more nominal economical growth. We think its getting better and better. Glass half empty or half full? Depends on one’s perspective. We don’t really know either way, so imagine our house is going to never dip much below $1 million dollars for long and you can at least sleep well at night. Keep the fiat money system moving along. Keep the people preoccupied, as they are. Status Quo: Deep State Rules, not Rule of Law.

One can look at Life negatively (e.g., ALL of us are going to die), optimistically, or “realistically.”

I have believed that the “Great Recession” was papered over, and the proverbial “can” was simply kicked down the road.

At the Pentagon, which was often described as “Fort Fumble” by those who worked there, there would be “reorganizations” if Congress was scrutinizing too much.

However, the USSR is gone; Russia is a pygmy state; and China has lots of problems. We have survived because of optimism and realism, not pessimism.

Queen Elizabeth Has Big Trouble Ahead [UPDATED]

[The Queen with Prince Andrew and his daughter Princess Beatrice were all smiles as they shared a ride to church]

The Jeffrey Epstein pedophile scandal leads right to the Queen’s son, Prince Andrew, who has been rekindling his relationship with his ex-wife, the long-despised Sarah Ferguson. He and his fellow Brit, Ghislaine Maxwell—Epstein’s alleged “Madam,” who apparently is in hiding—may be crucified by the scandal. Indeed, Maxwell’s life span may approximate that of Epstein.

See, e.g., https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7346077/Prince-Andrew-joined-fellow-royals-church-Balmoral-day-Jeffrey-Epsteins-suicide.html (“Royals rally round Prince Andrew as he is joined at church by The Queen, Charles and Beatrice a day after his past came back to haunt him with suicide of billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein“) and https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7346951/Duchess-York-leaves-Scottish-retreat-Duke-Edinburgh-turns-early.html (“Did Prince Philip force Sarah Ferguson to cut her Balmoral stay short? Duchess of York ‘leaves Scottish retreat after Duke of Edinburgh turns up early for his summer holiday'”—”Prince Philip has refused to be under same roof as Sarah Ferguson since 1996″—”The Duchess of York left Balmoral yesterday when Duke of Edinburgh arrived”) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah,_Duchess_of_York (“Sarah, Duchess of York”—”In March 2011, it was reported that Jeffrey Epstein had helped the Duchess avoid bankruptcy by paying off some of her debts. The payments were reportedly made after intervention from the Duke of York”) and https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/theroyalfamily/8365020/Duke-of-York-appealed-to-Jeffrey-Epstein-to-help-Duchess-pay-debt.html (“Duke of York ‘appealed to Jeffrey Epstein to help Duchess pay debt'”) and https://www.cbsnews.com/news/epstein-death-britain-alleged-co-conspirator-ghislaine-maxwell-prince-andrew-2019-08-12/ (“Jeffrey Epstein death in prison shifts focus to Ghislaine Maxwell, British alleged co-conspirator and acquaintance of Prince Andrew“)

And the marriage of the Queen’s grandson, Prince Harry, may have an “expiration date” attached to it, when his equally-despised B-actress/wife, #MEGXIT (or the American Meghan Markle) returns to the U.S. to live, with their son who is the woman’s life-long “meal ticket.” Indeed, their marriage may make that of the Queen’s uncle, the former British king Edward VIII, to an American Wallis Simpson—which caused a constitutional crisis that led to Edward’s abdication—seem like a paragon of virtue by comparison, especially after Markle shares the Royal Family’s innermost secrets with the world.

See, e.g., https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meghan,_Duchess_of_Sussex (“Meghan, Duchess of Sussex“) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallis_Simpson (“Wallis Simpson“) and https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2012/04/25/is-google-becoming-microsoft-or-worse/#comment-18453 (“Google’s Climate Change Party Brings 114 Private Jets And An 800-Ton Carbon Footprint“) and https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7345369/Prince-Harry-stayed-gas-guzzling-super-yacht-Googles-green-summit.html (“Prince Harry ‘stayed on a gas guzzling super-yacht for Google’s green summit’”)

Right when the longest-lived and longest-reigning British monarch should be enjoying her retirement years at 93, the Queen is also facing chaos politically, as the Brexit clock is ticking down to an October deadline with respect to leaving the EU. And it appears that British intelligence was knee-deep in the efforts of Barack Obama and his fellow treasonous co-conspirators to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump.

Will the UK’s monarchy survive, and weather these storms; or will it be engulfed and consumed by them?

Personally, I am utterly amazed at the stupidity of the British people putting up with these “royal” frauds. To top it all off, these elitists’ unimaginable lifestyle is supported by the taxpayers. Why?

Multiple, massive properties with literally hundreds of servants that are required to maintain each of them, which are typically vacant, should be enough to wake these people up. But apparently, it isn’t, because the “monarchy” continues.

Thank you, Ray.

Yes, I agree: it is bizarre. And if enough was not enough, Andrew had Epstein pay Sarah Ferguson’s bills.

Wow!

My guess is that Meghan Markle will totally trash the monarchy when she leaves, unceremoniously, as her “sweet revenge.” The Queen and Prince Philip may not be around to see it; however, like night follows day, it may be simply a function of time.

The only saving grace may be William, Kate and their kids.

Attorney General William Barr Is A Disgrace [UPDATED]

Lauren Fruen has written for the UK’s Daily Mail:

Attorney General Bill Barr issued a stark warning to Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged co-conspirators on Monday, telling them they ‘should not rest easy’.

The investigation into the disgraced financier and his sex crimes looks set to shift its focus following his death to those accused of helping him, in a move that threatens to implicate some of the world’s richest, most powerful men.

Speaking at a police event in New Orleans Barr said: ‘Let me assure you that this case will continue on against anyone who was complicit with Epstein. Any co-conspirators should not rest easy.

‘The victims deserve justice and they will get it.’

He also slammed the handling of Epstein by the Manhattan Correctional Center after it was revealed a corrections officer had not checked on the pedophile for several hours before he hanged himself in his cell in the special housing unit.

Barr, who said he was ‘appalled’ and ‘angry’ at the failure to ‘adequately secure’ Epstein, added: ‘This sex trafficking case was very important to the Department of Justice and to me personally.

‘Most importantly this case was important to the victims who had the courage to come forward and deserve the opportunity to confront the accused in the courtroom.

‘I was appalled, and indeed the whole department was, and frankly angry to learn of the MCC’s failure to adequately secure this prisoner.

‘We are now learning of serious irregularities at this facility that are deeply concerning and demand a thorough investigation.

‘We will get to the bottom of what happened and there will be accountability.’

A former close associate of the late mobster John Gotti Sr., Lewis Kasman, said he heard Barr paid the MCC a visit around the time Epstein was with bruises on his neck. He told The New York Post: ‘When does that happen? The attorney general never visits jails. Something’s not right there.’

Ghislaine Maxwell, the socialite daughter of late media tycoon Robert, is one of those who may find her dealings with the disgraced financier in the spotlight after he was found hanged in his prison cell at Metropolitan Correctional Center on Saturday morning.

Maxwell, 58, described as the ‘madam of the house’ by a former housekeeper at Epstein’s mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, has always denied any wrongdoing but reports now suggest she may even be ready to co-operate with the authorities.

Prosecutors may also target the witnesses who were set to testify against Epstein now that ‘they don’t need them’, The New York Post reports.

One source said: ‘They were getting a deal to testify against Epstein.’

According to Miami Herald reporter Julie K. Brown prosecutors ‘will likely refocus their probe on Maxwell, Sarah Kellen Vickers, Adriana Ross and Lesley Groff’.

They have all been accused of helping to run Epstein’s operation and Brown adds: ‘Another woman, Nadia Marcinkova, was accused of sexually abusing some of the underage girls.’

Brown also told MSNBC there are still ‘thousands and thousands of more documents that are probably going to be released’.

She added: ‘There are so many threads of information and evidence and testimony and witnesses that are contained in those documents that he has a lot to work with there.’

Epstein’s accusers may also be able to pursue civil cases against his estate, including his $77 million mansion in New York City and his Palm Beach home.

Epstein’s hanging came just 24 hours after more than 2,000 pages of documents detailing the lurid allegations of his sexual abuse of underage girls were unsealed to the public.

And while his death means his accusers can never bring him to justice in the courts, prosecutors may now go after his associates following a pledge from Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman to ‘stand for victims’.

In a statement shortly after Epstein, 66, was found hanging Berman made a pointed reference to the conspiracy charge included in his indictment.

He said: ‘To those brave young women who have already come forward and to the many others who have yet to do so, let me reiterate that we remain committed to standing for you, and our investigation of the conduct charged in the Indictment – which included a conspiracy count – remains ongoing.’

And while Epstein was the only person charged in that indictment court papers did reference three unnamed employees allegedly involved in scheduling victims and paying them after massages escalated to sexual acts.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, Epstein’s former ‘sex slave’ who claims she was loaned out to Prince Andrew, alleged in a a document newly released by a US court that Miss Maxwell took part in sex sessions as well.

Giuffre alleged in a 2016 deposition that she was a teenager when she was forced to have sex with George Mitchell, a former Senate Majority leader who represented Maine from 1980-95, former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson as well the Duke of York.

Both Richardson and Mitchell have denied the allegations. The Prince has always denied any wrongdoing and in a 2015 court application, a judge threw out Guiffre’s allegations that she had sex with the Prince.

Buckingham Palace also issued on the record statements in January 2015, stating: ‘Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue.’

But experts say Maxwell is still the ‘target number one’ for prosecutors.

Giuffre’s attorney, Sigrid McCawley, said in a statement that ‘the reckoning of accountability begun by the voices of brave and truthful victims should not end’ with Epstein’s death.

Thomas Volscho, an associate professor of sociology at the City University of New York who is writing a book about the Epstein case, said: ‘They are going to want to hold somebody to account and there is going to be enormous pressure on Maxwell as she has been accused of being heavily involved with Epstein.

‘I would imagine she is petrified’.

One of Epstein’s allged victims, Jennifer Araoz, said: ‘I hope the authorities will pursue and prosecute his accomplices and enablers, and ensure redress for his victims.’

Her attorney, Kimberly Lerner, added: ‘There’s a whole network that enabled him and allowed this to happen. It’s time that everyone who was a part of this be held accountable.’

Epstein, who once counted Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump among his friends, had been under arrest since July 6.

He had been accused of arranging to have sex with dozens of underage girls at his residences in New York City and Florida between 2002 and 2005, and was facing a possible jail sentence of up to 45 years.

Epstein, who was jailed for prostituting minors in a separate sex case in Florida in 2008, had pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He escaped with a light sentence in the Florida case after cutting a deal with prosecutors and spent 18 months in prison.

ATTORNEY GENERAL BILL BARR’S WARNING TO EPSTEIN’S ALLEGED CO-CONSPIRATORS IN FULL

Speaking at at the Grand Lodge Fraternal Order of Police’s 64th National Biennial Conference Barr said: ‘I would like to briefly address the news from the Manhattan Correctional Center over the weekend regarding Jeffrey Epstein.

‘This case was very important to the Department. It was important to the dedicated prosecutors and agents who investigated the case and were preparing it for trial. Most importantly, this case was important to the victims who had the courage to come forward and deserved the opportunity to confront the accused in court.

‘I was appalled – indeed, the entire Department was – and frankly angry, to learn of the MCC’s failure to adequately secure this prisoner.

‘We are now learning of serious irregularities at this facility that are deeply concerning and that demand a thorough investigation. The FBI and the Office of Inspector General are already doing just that.

‘We will get to the bottom of what happened at the MCC and we will hold people accountable for this failure.

‘Let me assure you that this case will continue on against anyone who was complicit with Epstein. Any co-conspirators should not rest easy. The victims deserve justice, and we will ensure they get it.’

Who are Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘accomplices’?

Sarah Kellen was accused of making massage appointments for Epstein and pressuring young girls into not talking to police who said they were ‘intimidated and frightened by her,’ according to the Miami Herald.

Kellen, along with fellow executive assistants, Lesley Groff, Nadia Marcinkova and Adriana Ross, were named in Epstein’s 2008 sweetheart deal as ‘potential co-conspirators’.

Groff was one of his most trusted assistants.

In 2004, when she announced she was pregnant and tried to leave, Epstein bought her a Mercedes to make her commute more enjoyable and said he would pay for her to have a full-time nanny.

Her lawyer, Michael Bachner said: ‘Ms. Groff never knowingly booked travel for anyone under the age of 18, and had no knowledge of the alleged illegal activity whatsoever. She is shocked and deeply distraught by the accusations and revelations concerning her former employer.’

Ross who worked for Epstein in 2002 in Florida, allegedly arranged some of the ‘massages’ where the alleged abuse took place.

Nadia Marcinkova, now a commercial pilot, was one of Epstein’s victims as well as an enabler according to interviews with victims back in 2005.

Multiple girls also state that Epstein made them engage in sexual acts with Marcinkova, which eventually turned into threesomes with both himself and the model.

Another of those who may also fall under the spotlight include his friend Jean-Luc Brunel, said to have run the company where girls recruited as models would be brought to the US.

Court papers say Brunel called Epstein In 2005 and left a message to say he was ‘sending him a 16-year-old Russian girl for purposes of sex’.

Barr is a disgrace. He is coming for Epstein’s evil accomplices (i.e. the “low-hanging fruit”), but not for Barack Obama and his treasonous co-conspirators—who sought to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump, and who continue to do so because they “rest easy” knowing that they will not be brought to justice.

There is every reason to believe that Barr, the DOJ’s Inspector General Horowitz, FBI Director Wray and so many others are part of the treasonous “club” at the DOJ/FBI, which protects and shields their own. Until our government has been cleansed of them and their like, no American should ever believe in the rule of law again.

America is lawless today!

. . .

Last but by no means least, it has been reported that Barr is pushing for the death penalty for mass murder and cop killing. But what about the death penalty for Barack Obama and his treasonous co-conspirators—including many of Barr’s colleagues at the DOJ and FBI—who tried to destroy both the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump? Surely, they deserve nothing less.

Barack Obama’s legacy may be that of a traitor who sowed racial divisions, and sought to destroy the candidacy and presidency of his successor. Indeed, it may be concluded that he was and is the greatest traitor in American history.

America Is Lawless: No American Should Trust The DOJ Or FBI [UPDATED]

[Editor’s note: Gregg Jarrett’s forthcoming book is “Witch Hunt: The Story of the Greatest Mass Delusion in American Political History” This is the second in a series of excerpts]

American citizens have a right to know what their government is doing. That is the law. The FBI routinely ignores the law.

Roughly 50 years ago, Congress grew fed up with federal agencies like the FBI operating in the shadows of secrecy. Without public scrutiny, there was no transparency and accountability. Rogue operators could act outside the bounds of the law and conceal their insidious actions under the cloak of confidentiality.

A new law was passed called the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). For the first time, any person could request access to documents or records controlled by the U.S. government.

It is through this Act that the veil of secrecy has been pierced in the Trump-Russia “collusion” case. The illicit schemes intended to frame Trump as a Russian agent have been exposed, in no small measure, due to the relentless pursuit of FOIA lawsuits.

Wait… why lawsuits? Because federal agencies, such as the FBI, reflexively deny nearly all FOIA requests even though the vast majority of them are completely legitimate. These improper rejections force the soliciting party to sue in federal court. It takes a judge to order the FBI to cough up what the law demands.

The most recent example occurred just days ago when the watchdog group, Judicial Watch, finally convinced U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Cooper to order the FBI to search its records for any communications with Christopher Steele, the maladroit ex-British spy who composed the specious anti-Trump “dossier” that was commissioned by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee to torpedo his candidacy in 2016. At the time, Steele was also on the bureau payroll as a confidential informant.

James Comey’s FBI exploited the uncorroborated “dossier” to launch its criminal investigation of Trump while masquerading the probe as a counterintelligence operation. The phony document was then manipulated to hornswoggle the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), which issued a warrant to spy on Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser. These malevolent machinations would never have come to light without numerous FOIA lawsuits, as well as the sedulous work of the House Intelligence Committee under former chairman Devin Nunes.

The most recent FOIA action underscores the arrogance of the FBI and its contempt for the law. In March of 2017, the FBI would not even “confirm or deny the existence of records” when the initial FOIA request was tendered. Now, two years hence and after an untold amount of litigation expense, the bureau is forced to do what it should have done long ago –produce the records that surely exist. Comey is no longer in charge, but his replacement, Christopher Wray, is his equal when it comes to hiding evidence of potentially corrupt acts.

The Phony Steele “Dossier”

At its core, Steele’s “dossier” was based on little more than multiple hearsays from supposed Russian sources who were largely anonymous. It is quite possible that these unidentified sources never existed at all or, in the alternative, the ex-spy was fed Russian disinformation to the amusement of the Kremlin. Senior FBI officials well knew the sketchy provenance of the “dossier” and the mutable character of its author. Indeed, they were warned. They didn’t care.

They also knew that the accusations contained therein were so dubious and unverified that they could never be used in court or to initiate a formal investigation of its target. Yet, undeterred by the constraints of law, the FBI used them anyway.

In essence, the outlandish rumors fueled by partisan enemies of Trump and the lawlessness of the FBI invented the biggest political “con” of all time –a deliberate deception that managed to dominate and, to some extent, disable the Trump presidency.

Steele did not work alone. His carefully cultivated false narrative of Trump-Russia “collusion” was engineered by hired surrogates of Clinton campaign and Democrats, namely Glenn Simpson, the founder of a company called Fusion GPS, which marketed itself as an opposition research firm.

With clever calculation, Simpson and Steele hustled their “dossier” to the media and Clinton allies in the upper echelons of government, with the FBI as the ultimate receptacle for all phony information. Simpson would later clam up by invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination when subpoenaed to testify before [C]ongress.

By any reasonable standard, the “dossier” was a ludicrous document on its face and the FBI surely knew it. They assigned undercover agents to infiltrate the Trump campaign to gather compromising evidence to confirm it. This effort fizzled, as did the FBI’s offer to Steele of a $50,000 bonus, if only he could verify the contents of his memo. No payment was made since it was impossible to verify the fable he had composed. He later admitted that it was merely “raw intelligence,” and in court documents he discredited its veracity. It was junk.

Exploiting The “Dossier”

None of this impeded Comey’s FBI or President Obama’s justice department. Weeks before the presidential election, they misused the unverified “dossier” as the basis for a “verified” warrant application from the FISC to wiretap a one-time Trump campaign adviser, boldly asserting that he was a Russian spy. He was not. Vital evidence was concealed, the judges were deceived, and the court was defrauded.

It was never informed, for example, that the “dossier” was funded by the Clinton campaign and that its author had been fired by the FBI for leaking and lying. Instead, the FBI and DOJ vouched for the credibility of their “source,” even though he was not a source at all.

Steele assembled uncorroborated information from anonymous sources with whom the FBI had no contact whatsoever. After a year-long surveillance, no evidence of “collusion” was collected and the supposed “spy” was never charged with anything at all. His Fourth Amendment rights were egregiously violated. Other Trump associates also appear to have been the target of intensive secret surveillance.

The strategy to dismantle Trump’s bid for the highest office was dependent on proliferating the erroneous and lurid story that he was a modern-day “Manchurian Candidate” or “Putin’s Puppet.”

When it did not gain the desired traction and the Republican nominee was elected, his enemies doubled-down on the scheme to portray Trump as a Russian stooge who would betray his nation once he set foot in the Oval Office.

A complicit media was all too willing to convict Trump in the court of public opinion by perpetuating these calumnies without bothering to honestly examine either the relevant facts or applicable law. In other words, they refused to do their jobs.

Once the “dossier” was leaked, the Trump-Russia phantasm ignited a public firestorm. Unfounded allegations that the president was in league with Putin served as rich fodder for endless stories, commentary, and denunciations on Capitol Hill and the compliant press.

This was precisely what the progenitors of the lie had desired all along. Within three months, Trump was fed up with Comey’s duplicity and misrepresentations. When he fired the FBI director, the escalating witch hunt became a full-blown political maelstrom. It ended only when special counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence of a criminal “collusion” conspiracy.

Because of a FISA lawsuit, the recent federal court order will help to rip open the seal of secrecy surrounding Steele and the FBI’s unconscionable use of his fabricated “dossier.”

So, too, will the forthcoming report by the Inspector General at the Department of Justice. It is quite likely that criminal referrals will be sent to Attorney General William Barr and his appointed investigator, U.S. Attorney General John Durham. It may have happened already.

A reckoning with justice awaits.

Gregg Jarrett has been right on top of this.

America is lawless. The FBI has been corrupt since the days of J. Edgar Hoover. My former roommate—when I was living on the beach at Malibu, and finishing up at UCLA—Norman Ollestad, wrote a book entitled “Inside the FBI” after he had served as an FBI agent. Later, he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Los Angeles.

The book was on track to be made into a movie, but Ollestad was killed in a tragic small plane crash near Los Angeles. I do not rule out the fact that the FBI had him killed. I wrote a review to that effect at Amazon.com, but it has been deleted.

See, e.g., https://www.amazon.com/Inside-F-B-I-Norman-Ollestad/dp/B0006BQL2Y

I will believe in the “Department of Injustice” only when it is cleaned out from top to bottom—starting with the FBI’s lawless director, Christopher Wray—which may never happen.

Today, the DOJ and the FBI are the enemies of the American people, and the moral equivalents of Russia’s brutal dictator-for-life Vladimir Putin’s KGB—where he rose up through the ranks in the former DDR, or East Germany—and I despise Putin.

In both federal and state courts, it is tantamount to ‘Law West of the Pecos by Judge Roy Bean.’ In Bean’s court, the law was what he said it was; in 21st century courts that attitude is still too often true of arbitrary decisions by an unchecked judiciary. Our Founding Fathers gave scant attention to providing necessary checks, which has come back to haunt us. . . . Equally disturbing is the fact that some members of the federal judiciary seem to believe that both the executive and legislative branches of government are subservient to the judiciary. This merely reflects the fact that far too often judges are arrogant, self-righteous, condescending and incompetent, and seem to enjoy abusing the power of their offices. Thus, the conclusion of ‘Abolish FISA’ — which may shock some people, certainly the judiciary — seems totally appropriate: ‘Far from expanding FISA, Congress could best serve the country by abolishing it.’ Americans will rue the day they entrusted national security to an unelected, unchecked judiciary that is ill-equipped to prevent another 9/11”)

Until Obama and his treasonous co-conspirators are brought to justice, there will be no justice in the United States; and any American who believes otherwise is totally naïve.

NO JUSTICE AT THE DOJ! [UPDATED]

It used to be said that the Inspector General’s Office of the “Department of Injustice” was where the truth went to die. Now it is true of the entire department; and it is a travesty.

American justice does not exist anymore, certainly at the highest levels of our government. Indeed, Geoff Earle has written in the UK’s Daily Mail:

A Justice Department inspector general report concluded Thursday that former FBI Director James Comey did not ‘live up’ to his responsibility to safeguard sensitive information – but the DOJ has not recommended he be prosecuted for the leak of memos of his awkward conversations with President Donald Trump.

Comey ‘failed to live up to this responsibility’ to protect internal information as other FBI agents are expected to, according to the report published Thursday.

But the IG wrote: ‘We found no evidence that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the Memos to members of the media.’

The scathing criticism – and decision not to prosecute – was met with a furious reaction from Trump who tweeted: ‘Perhaps never in the history of our Country has someone been more thoroughly disgraced and excoriated than James Comey in the just released Inspector General’s Report. He should be ashamed of himself!

Comey claimed exoneration on Twitter and blasted President Trump.

Revelations about Flynn and ‘loyalty’ request

Comey took notes immediately afterward and created memos, which he retained after Trump fired him.

He took steps to share them with an inner circle of top officials, and these officials took their own efforts to lock them in drawers – and preserve them after Comey’s firing.

Among other things, Comey’s memos featured Trump asking him to let the matter involving former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn go, as well as a request for ‘loyalty.’ They also recounted Trump’s repeated inquiries about the unverified ‘golden showers’ episode described in former British intelligence officer Chris Steele’s dossier about Trump and Russians.

Comey ultimately provided the memos to a friend, and a New York Times report on their content helped lead to the immediate appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller – a moment with a profound impact on the Trump presidency.

‘Violated Department and FBI policies’

According to the IG investigation: ”We conclude that Comey’s retention, handling, and dissemination of certain Memos violated Department and FBI policies, and his FBI Employment Agreement.’

Comey maintained the memos were his own. However, ‘Comey’s characterization of the Memos as personal records finds no support in the law and is wholly incompatible with the plain language of the statutes, regulations, and policies defining Federal records, and the terms of Comey’s FBI Employment Agreement,’ according to the IG.

However, they did not find Comey responsible for the leak of any classified material – which could have brought a serious sanction.

‘We found no evidence that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the Memos to members of the media,’ investigators found.

Comey demands apology

Comey highlighted that passage on Twitter Thursday, then added: ‘I don’t need a public apology from those who defamed me, but a quick message with a ‘sorry we lied about you’ would be nice.’

The report also said Comey failed to notify the bureau that memos after he left the FBI.

‘Comey violated Department and FBI policies, and the terms of his FBI Employment Agreement, by retaining copies of [the memos] after he was removed as Director, regardless of each Memo’s classification level,’ the IG found.

Comey testified that he wanted the memos out because ‘I thought it might prompt the appointment of a special counsel.’ At the time, there was considerable debate over whether the Justice Department then headed by Attorney General Jeff Sessions would be able to carry out an impartial investigation that involved so many key players in the administration.

The FBI reviewed the memos in 2017 and found information was classified at the ‘SECRET,’ ‘CONFIDENTIAL,’ AND ‘For Official Use Only’ level.

The report is direct on the question of ownership. All information acquired by FBI personnel in connection with their official duties ‘is the property of the United States.’ Internal policy states that disclosures to the media ‘must not address an ongoing investigation.’ Comey was in a position to know that and FBI counterintelligence investigation was underway.

From Trump Tower to the Oval Office

A timeline of the investigation begins January 6, 2017, when Comey and Intelligence Community directors ‘meet with President-elect Trump and his national security team at Trump Tower to discuss the Intelligence Community Assessment; Comey then meets with the President-elect one-on-one to alert Trump to ‘salacious and unverified’ allegations about his 2013 trip to Moscow that the media may soon publish.’

That is a reference to the infamous ‘Golden Showers dossier,’ which referenced unverified allegations about Trump’s conduct with prostitutes in a Moscow hotel room during the Miss Universe pageant. Comey testified that he told Trump about it because he wanted him to know the information was out there.

Comey completed a memo January 28, 2017 a day after having dinner with Trump. He wrote that Trump said he expected ‘loyalty.’

Orchestrating one-on-one with Trump to discuss the dossier

On Valentine’s Day, 2017, Comey writes a memo about Trump saying he hopes Comey can ‘see [his] way clear … to letting Flynn go,’ at a time when there was an active investigation of Michael Flynn. Comey wrote the memo on his own laptop, put a copy in his home safe, and gives a second signed copy to his FBI chief of staff. In a March 30 Comey memo, Trump asks what he ‘could do to lift the cloud’ of the Russsia investigation. All the memos featured in the Mueller report.

The 83-page report reconstructs the events surrounding each of the memos and how they were created.

In the case of Comey’s January 7 meeting with Trump, he met with senior FBI officials including chief of staff James Rybicki and former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. They wanted the meeting to be one-on-one so Comey could present ‘salacious’ information in the ‘most discreet’ way, according to the IG.

The two men told investigators they also did not want Trump to consider the conversation an effort to hold information over him in a ‘Hoover-esque type of plot.’

‘Witnesses interviewed by the OIG also said that they discussed Trump’s potential responses to being told about the ‘salacious’ information, including that Trump might make statements about, or provide information of value to, the pending Russian interference investigation.’

They decided that Comey should memorialize the memo immediately after it ended, which he did – in his car.

High-speed memo drafting in a car

‘Comey told the OIG he began writing Memo 1 immediately following his meeting with Trump on January 6, 2017. Comey said he had a secure FBI laptop waiting for him in his FBI vehicle and that when he got into the vehicle, he was handed the laptop and ‘began typing [Memo 1] as the vehicle moved.’ He said he continued working on Memo 1 until he arrived at the FBI’s New York field office, where Comey gave a ‘quick download’ of his conversation with President-elect Trump to Rybicki, McCabe, Baker, and supervisors of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigative team via secure video teleconference (SVTC),’ according to the report.

When he wrote his second memo on his personal laptop, made two printouts, then deleted the electronic file.

Comey told investigators he is ‘a maniac … about hacking of [his] personal devices’ and is ‘obsessive’ about deleting files from personal accounts. He said he has ‘maniacal hygiene’ about records.

Asked why he hadn’t used an FBI computer, Comey said h ‘wasn’t thinking about it … [belonging to the] Government – [he] thought … this is for me.’

‘Comey told us that he put one original in his personal safe at home, where he stored personal, family-related ‘things that mean the most’ to him,’ according to the report. ‘Comey acknowledged that ‘[i]n theory’ his wife also had access to this safe, but told us that at the time, she did not have a key and did not know where he kept his key.’

FBI witnesses told investigators that when he fired Comey, Trump ‘directed that Comey not be allowed back into FBI Headquarters.’

Stored in a home safe

Come still had four memos inside his home safe. He said he didn’t seek permission to retain them because he did not consider them to be FBI records. He told the IG he viewed them ‘as personal documents, like his will or his passport.’

Trump ally Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham of South Carolina tweeted: ‘I appreciate the time and effort Mr. Horowitz and his team spent documenting the off-the-rails behavior of Mr. Comey regarding the leaking of law enforcement materials to the media.’

‘This is the first of what I expect will be several more ugly and damning rebukes of senior DOJ and FBI officials regarding their actions and biases toward the Trump campaign of 2016,’ wrote Graham, who is conducting his own probe of FBI conduct during the Russia probe.

He called the report ‘a stunning and unprecedented rebuke of a former Director of the FBI.’

The IG also recounts efforts by Comey’s top circle of senior aides to preserve the memos after his abrupt firing.

Comey chief of staff Rybicki had not realized anyone had a copy other than himself, though FBI lawyer Lisa Page contacted him seeking a ‘full set’ on May 10, 2017 on behalf of then deputy director Andrew McCabe, days after the Comey firing. Rybicki made three sets of copies.

Former FBI official Peter Strzok (who was having an affair with Page and who was removed from the Mueller probe) participated in scanning the memos and making sure they were in a secure system ‘so there’s a record there.’

He told investigators he thought he did so ‘a night or two’ after the Comey firing.

McCabe described efforts to ensure ‘the FBI took steps to ensure that the Memos ‘were preserved in FBI systems as FBI records.’

The Times published its report on the Trump-Comey meeting where Trump sought ‘loyalty’ on May 11, 2017.

Comey would later share four memos with one of his lawyers, former federal prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald.

White House blasts in official statement

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham unloaded on Comey in an official statement.

‘James Comey is a proven liar and leaker. The Inspector General’s report shows Comey violated the most basic obligations of confidentiality that he owed to the United States Government and to the American people, “in order to achieve a personally desired outcome,”’ she said.

‘Because Comey shamefully leaked information to the press—in blatant violation of FBI policies—the Nation was forced to endure the baseless politically motivated, two-year witch hunt. Comey disgraced himself and his office to further a personal political agenda, and this report further confirms that fact.’

See https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7407333/James-Comey-escapes-prosecution-leaking-memos-meetings-Donald-Trump.html (“‘He should be ashamed of himself!’ Donald Trump rages at ‘thoroughly disgraced’ James Comey as fired FBI chief is officially rebuked for leaking memos about their meetings – and GLOATS as Bill Barr’s Justice Department declines to prosecute”) (emphasis in original; Twitter messages omitted); see also http://news.trust.org/item/20190829141053-io0lf (“DOJ declines to prosecute Comey despite finding that he leaked memo“) and https://www.nysun.com/editorials/it-seems-trump-was-right-to-fire-james-comey/90813/ (“The most important point to draw from the Justice Department’s report on James Comey is that President Trump was right to cashier him as director of the FBI. . . . Mr. Comey, the IG report concludes, set a ‘dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees’ and thousands of former ones who ‘similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information'”)

At the very least, FBI Director Christopher Wray must be fired, as a cog in the wheels of American justice. Under his “leadership,” the FBI continues to be the functional equivalent of the Soviet Union’s KGB.

As discussed in my article above—and in the footnotes and comments beneath it—no American should believe in our two-tier system of justice again, where the “little guy” gets prosecuted, but the “big fish” escape prosecution altogether.

Barack Obama and his treasonous co-conspirators sought to destroy the candidacy and presidency of Donald Trump; and they continue to do so. This is sedition; and each of them must be prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned.

AMERICAN JUSTICE DOES NOT EXIST—AND OUR GREAT NATION’S FOUNDERS WOULD BE APPALLED AND DEEPLY SADDENED BY WHAT HAS HAPPENED, AND CONTINUES TO HAPPEN.

Queen Elizabeth’s Latest Woes With Meghan Markle

[Wallis Simpson and Meghan Markle]

Presumably as a result of Markle’s PR campaign being orchestrated by Americans, Ashley Cullins has written in the Hollywood Reporter:

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, and her husband Prince Harry are tired of lies being printed about them in British tabloids, so the royal couple is taking Associated Newspapers to court.

Markle is suing the company over Mail On Sunday’s alleged unlawful publication of a private letter she wrote, according to an announcement on the couple’s official website. Her claims include misuse of private information, infringement of copyright and breach of the Data Protection Act 2018. She alleges that the publication used her letter as part of its campaign to publish false and derogatory stories about her and her husband. The couple is personally funding the litigation and has promised to donate any damages to an anti-bullying charity.

Along with the announcement, Harry issued a lengthy statement on their website about the reasons behind the litigation.

“As a couple, we believe in media freedom and objective, truthful reporting. We regard it as a cornerstone of democracy and in the current state of the world – on every level – we have never needed responsible media more,” he writes. “Unfortunately, my wife has become one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences – a ruthless campaign that has escalated over the past year, throughout her pregnancy and while raising our newborn son.”

He continues to say that he has seen his wife suffer for too long and the decision to pursue legal action was “many months in the making.”

“This particular legal action hinges on one incident in a long and disturbing pattern of behaviour by British tabloid media,” writes Harry. “The contents of a private letter were published unlawfully in an intentionally destructive manner to manipulate you, the reader, and further the divisive agenda of the media group in question. In addition to their unlawful publication of this private document, they purposely misled you by strategically omitting select paragraphs, specific sentences, and even singular words to mask the lies they had perpetuated for over a year.”

In his statement, Harry describes this behavior as bullying and says it’s time for the tabloid to be held accountable.

“Though this action may not be the safe one, it is the right one,” he writes. “Because my deepest fear is history repeating itself. I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditised to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person. I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.”

Markle is hated in the UK, but the Daily Mail has censored criticism of her, which is intolerable.

See, e.g., https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2012/04/25/is-google-becoming-microsoft-or-worse/#comment-16495 (“Censorship Is Rampant At The UK’s Daily Mail And Elsewhere“)

As I said previously:

My guess is that Meghan Markle will totally trash the monarchy when she leaves, unceremoniously, as her “sweet revenge.” The Queen and Prince Philip may not be around to see it; however, like night follows day, it may be simply a function of time.

The only saving grace may be William, Kate and their kids.

And, in the final analysis, Markle may do far more damage to the UK’s monarchy than Wallis Simpson ever did.
