And it felt good.
Then, I tore down another one, and another one, and another.
No, I don’t have any shame about doing it. And no too, it was not an act of courage, nor do I feel the slightest twinge of guilt or remorse about having done so. But it was the first time that I had done anything like it.
The “sign” was printed on single sheet of white typewriter paper, which someone had affixed to the door of a men’s room with plastic tape. To put it bluntly, I am angry that anyone would have the gall to lecture me, much less when I am about to do my business.
The other signs were duplicates of the first one, which had been posted not far away. I was angry each time that I saw them—especially when the looters who hit stores in Los Angeles explained what they did: “Get my portion!”[2]
Just like the earlier riots spawned by thugs and other low-lifes—which achieved nothing at all, except to increase discrimination and anarchy—the latest ones are likely to die similar ignominious deaths.
. . .
The retired football player Drew Brees is telling Americans that it’s all right to disrespect our flag and national anthem.[3] NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell effectively said the same thing, in supporting Colin Kaepernick’s right to take a knee when the anthem is played at games.[4] No team will hire him; Brees’ legacy and reputation are shot; and increasing numbers of Americans will boycott the NFL in the future.
And the latest polling shows black voter approval for President Trump rising to 41 percent.[5]
. . .
As if this was not enough, there’s an overweight black homeless man in a white hoodie at the entrance to a swim center here, which has been closed for months because of the deadly Coronavirus that China launched[6]. Needless to say, none of the rioters are helping him.
Of course black lives matter, each and every one of them. This is true even with respect to the vicious racist thugs, slugs and hoods. Jesus taught us this. But we do not have to tolerate their violence—or God-awful gangsta rap “music”—ever.
. . .
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, today is D-Day, the 76th anniversary of the Normandy landings on the coast of France on June 6, 1944, which began the efforts to destroy Adolf Hitler, his Nazi regime, and end his dreams of a “Thousand Year Reich.”[7] Yet, instead of celebrating this turning point in history, American thugs, slugs and hoods have focused attention on George Floyd, a drug abuser who was killed in the process of resisting his arrest. How obscene. How truly grotesque and obscene.

80 Percent Of Americans Believe The Country Is Spiraling Out Of Control [UPDATED]
This is the conclusion of a Wall Street Journal article, which in turn discusses Wall Street Journal/NBC polling results.
See https://www.wsj.com/articles/americans-are-more-troubled-by-police-actions-in-killing-of-george-floyd-than-by-violence-at-protests-poll-finds-11591534801 (“Americans Are More Troubled by Police Actions in Killing of George Floyd Than by Violence at Protests, Poll Finds“)
This is a very troubling poll. What it means is that 80 percent of Americans do not understand what is at stake.
I am not naïve. I have believed for many years that the United States is fundamentally an insular, isolationist country bounded by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and Canada and Mexico. Most Americans have never traveled abroad; and many have not lived far from where they were born.
The idea of fighting foreign wars was and is abhorrent to them. To his credit, Franklin D. Roosevelt recognized this, which is why he “eased” Americans into World War II—at least before the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Then, all bets were off; and the American people rallied to the challenges.
We have enemies today, both foreign and domestic, which would like to destroy us, in no uncertain terms. China leads the list, followed by Russia, iran, North Korea and terrorist groups globally. If they could, they would do so in a nanosecond. The protesters—aka thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels—do not understand what is at stake, or they do not care. Most have no sense of history; and many are uneducated, illiterate and fundamentally ignorant.
As I wrote yesterday;
See https://naegeleblog.wordpress.com/2020/06/07/i-tore-down-my-first-black-lives-matter-sign-today/ (“I Tore Down My First Black Lives Matter Sign Today“)
When these Americans are focused on canonizing George Floyd, instead of supporting our police officers—who try to protect us, but are not always perfect—the world has been turned upside down, and right is indistinguishable from wrong. The inmates are perilously close to running the asylum.
Lastly, with so many rioters massed together and zero “social distancing” taking place, how many will catch and/or spread the deadly Coronavirus? There is no vaccine, and many will die, of all ages.
Lots of them may be high school and college students who are out of school because of the lockdowns, and bored. Thus, they have joined the thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels as an “adventure,” not realizing fully the price that these lackeys (who are products of America’s Leftist educational system) might pay.
Patty Hearst did something similar years ago, but was “bailed out” by her wealthy family.

Once again, another excellent, thought provoking post. Being that you mentioned Roosevelt, I feel compelled to add one observation; after years of study, I am convinced that FDR was a master manipulator that maneuvered the US into another European War that the American people were steadfastly against. FDR accomplished this by putting Japan into an untenable situation, which provoked their attack on Pearl Harbor. FDR knew that Germany would be forced into declaring war on the US due to the Tripartite war guarantee pact. Furthermore, ALL of Japan’s codes had been broken, including the military and diplomatic, prior to Pearl (see “Day of Deceit: The Truth About FDR and Pearl Harbor).
Two primary books that I would highly recommend; Pat Buchanan’s “Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War,” and former President Herbert Hoover’s 900+ page tome; “Freedom Betrayed: The Secret History of World War II and Its Aftermath.” We fought a disastrous European War in order to “free Europe,” only to hand Eastern Europe over to the murdering despot Joseph Stalin and his Communist horde. (Hoover’s book is so explosive that its publication was withheld from publication for 50 years).
IMO, the very same internationalist elite that brought us WW I & II are behind the attempt to destroy this country. Since the very first day (and before) of Trump’s Presidency, there has been an ongoing conspiratorial attempt to take down his Presidency. With the crashing of the economy via the “pandemic,” and now, rampant rioting by the Communist front groups Black Lives Matter & ANTIFA, etc., they seem to be nearing their goal.
I was given a link to this video by a friend. It is loaded with verifiable information that you will never find being offered by the Main Stream Media.

Thank you so much as always, Ray.
Yes, I agree completely with your assessment of FDR. He was a “master manipulator” — of countries, peoples and women. I was at Warm Springs where he and Lucy Mercer said their final farewells before the end.
See “Lucy Mercer – Top 10 Mistresses – TIME,”

What he gave away to Stalin was criminal, and enslaved Eastern Europe until Reagan.
What stuns me the most is the deification of a thug, George Floyd, and the celebration of his thuggery and that of the “Black Lives Matter” and Antifa hoods, while our sacrifices at Normandy on D-Day are forgotten.
China’s Xi, who launched the Coronavirus as a bioweapon or inadvertently, must be salivating.

Mr. Naegele,
The Roosevelts were quite a pair. The vaunted liberal icon Eleanor carried on a long time, adulterous lesbian relationship with journalist Lorena Hickok. Their released “love letters” leave no doubt about what many assert to be a seemingly spurious claim.
You are so right regarding George Floyd. Candace Owens has documented research about his life-long criminal past, which included (as I recall) at least 5 stints in Prison, one of which was due to a home invasion in which the recently “sainted” Mr. Floyd, held a gun to the belly of a terrified pregnant (black) homeowner, freeing up his three partners to ransack the home in search of drugs and money. I wonder; did her Black Life Matter? Apparently it didn’t to Saint George Floyd.
Recently, a mother was detained, handcuffed and arrested for having the audacity to take her little girl to visit a public park, in contrast, rapists, murders, violent criminals are released due to “over crowding” and COVID 19.
While our cities burn, Police stand idly by while street thugs steal, beat up and even kill innocent, peaceful Americans. How does the media report this? Just one example among many; CNN’s Chris Cuomo disdainfully challenges “And please, show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful.” I’d love to see Mr. Cuomo repeat that to the face of those that lost businesses, have been beaten up, and to surviving relatives of dead victims.
Just as in Orwell’s “1984,” our media plays Newspeak while consistently labeling these criminal thugs as “protestors.”
We have devolved into a state of collective madness, where “telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.”
As a longtime Bible reader and believer, I am reminded of this verse, among others:
“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”
— Psalm 9:7
