It may be a multi-front war like World War II: in Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific, in our hemisphere, and globally. Our enemies include Vladimir Putin’s Russia, Xi Jinping’s China, and Kim Jong-un’s North Korea; and arguably, they are at the top of their game.
Would such a war be over in an instant because of a nation-ending EMP Attack or similar event?[2] Will we even have time to rebuild our military forces? Will we have national leadership like Franklin D. Roosevelt provided? Will we or our loved ones—both men and women—be drafted into service and become cannon fodder?
Are we prepared at all, both mentally and militarily, for a multi-front and multi-faceted war?[3]. Clearly, we have a brain-addled buffoon in the White House, who is the laughingstock of the world.[4]
Tragically, our enemies are superb “chess masters,” who might be moving against us while Joe Biden and his Vice President—Kamala Harris, the cackling former ho of California’s Willie Brown—are still officially in office.[5]
Arguably, we are in the midst of World War III already, as our military involvement and that of our NATO allies increases in Ukraine, and as something similar is true in the Middle East. And we have been aiding those in Taiwan who are arrayed against China’s might.

Tim: In a word, “no” we are far from ready or not even close to being prepared for the now unavoidable war against China in their region especially. President Trump would need to do what President Ronald Reagan did in his first term in office: freeze all govt. hiring, budget cuts in ALL non-essential agencies, Reductions-in-Force (Federal govt. layoffs), prioritize border security and defense. Next, cut taxes and spend accordingly. Time is growing short for America; and if we continue as-is, as we are heading rapidly to the end-point of all prior civilizations: destruction. Ultimately, adoption of EV’s has many facets including major structural electric grid or infrastructure issues, political incompetence ( $7.5 Billion spend by DOT for 7, yes only seven fast charging EV stations nationally), car affordability, and technological issues (sic. limitations) in regards to battery storage technology (“The Physics”). As it turns out, the laws of man are NOT equivalent to nor superior to the laws of physics (God), although at times we sure wish it were so. We legislate government climate mandates to force the auto market to convert. We even impose a hard deadline: 2032 with penalties for non-attainment. We are Mammon, the Masters of Our Universe or creators of our living environment. We order or scold (bully) other nations to follow-along, but they (China) are quietly laughing behind our backs at our arrogance while smiling at us superficially. Nuclear, Hydro-electric, and coal are their powerhouses, not hot air and sunshine alone. We believe in our own bullshit. This could eventually prove to be very fatal in the event of a WWIII, as it reveals a deeper mode of “thinking” or lack thereof.
Does anyone doubt the hard lessons of history? Study what happened to Thebes, Carthage, or Constantinople. All were utterly and completely destroyed, the last resident utterly annihilated, their cities razed to the ground. Common theme: they greatly overestimated their own capabilities and at the same time grossly underestimated the capabilities of their adversaries ( In-turn: Alexander the Great, Roman Generals, and the Ottoman Empire). This is not merely a rhetorical matter, as Military Historian and Stanford fellow, Dr. David Victor Hanson writes in his recent cautionary analysis: “The End of Everything : How Wars descended into annihilation” (May 2024). An overly arrogant and corrupt government can eventually end up in the fire, destroyed by its own collective hubris and, I might add, too much “pie in the sky thinking”, as well. Realistic thinking grounded in the “hard” sciences and common sense, not just trends, marketing or personalities, is a necessary prerequisite to survival of an entire city, region, or civilization alike.
If you happen to be a physics denier, then jump-off the heliport atop the U.S. Bankcorp Tower in downtown Portland, Oregon sometime w/o a hang glider and see what happens. Self-preservation is inescapable at the individual level. Maybe not so much with cliff-jumping lemmings, however.

As you say, assuming that Donald Trump is reelected, he needs to move quickly to reverse the damage done by Joe Biden and his Democrats. In the process, he needs to pick a Vice President who can carry on after his four-year term of office ends.
In my judgment, that person is Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas. He trusts her completely; and they share similar if not identical views about America’s problems, “fixes” and future.
Lastly, imagine our enemies being concerned about “Transhood” and “gender fluidity” and other issues involving freaks of nature.

Did you know that ALL YMCA’s across the country now permit men who identify as women or trans to use the women’s bathroom? Its sure is true in La Canada, CA but its not well publicized. No leadership.

I assume you meant YWCAs; and I was not aware of that, Craig.
My starting point is Title IX and women’s sports; and the protection of their rights. I have a daughter and five granddaughters.
The idea of biological men competing in their sports is anathema to me, because it risks destroying such sports. Also, women need to be protected in their bathrooms and similar facilities, so I believe. This has been addressed by having men’s bathrooms, women’s bathrooms, and “gender-neutral” bathrooms. Obviously, there is a cost involved with creating the last category of facilities.
Clearly, the laws in the the USA and other countries—and throughout history—have been diverse and all over the boards.

Ravenous And Bloodthirsty
As nonstop killing takes place in Ukraine and Russia, and Israel and Palestine, the “fans” of each side urge more violence, as if they were watching an athletic contest in which the winner takes all.
Lives are at stake, and families are being ripped apart and destroyed, which may foretell slaughter on an even larger scale.
