The Unhinged Left Is America’s Enemy

9 07 2022

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

When I left the United States Senate, I concluded that the Democrats were “evil” but smart, while the Republicans were “Neanderthals” and dumb.[2]  I have never changed that opinion.  Quite to the contrary, I believe it today more fervently than ever; and I am not alone.[3].  And yes too, I began as a Democrat but doubt that I will vote for one ever again.

Where does one begin to chronicle the Left’s certifiable madness and hatred of the America that so many of us love?  Perhaps with their devout support of Infanticide.[4]  Or with the enabling of young Americans to switch genders; or with “gender fluidity”—the ability to switch back and forth, with the help of drugs.  Or perhaps with easy access to other life-changing drugs that can kill, such as Fentanyl, which are sometimes disguised as other drugs when they enter our country.[5]

Or with opening our borders so that all types of criminals—including human traffickers, members of the drug cartels, and outright killers—can come here; or by never incarcerating them, even if they commit all types of crimes.  Or by releasing those who do.

It’s as if the Gates of Hell have been opened wide, and everything that is evil and Godless has been released on America.  Perhaps it began when China sent its deadly Coronavirus to us, which has hurt so many: physically, psychologically and economically.  It is mutating now; and other strains or variants are emerging, and will show up as monkeypox and by other names.

Tragically, America’s domestic enemies begin with Joe Biden, Barack Obama and the Clintons.  Each is pure evil, personified.[6]  Our enemies abroad know that, and seem to be seizing every opportunity that presents itself.  From Vladimir Putin’s butchery in Ukraine, to Xi Jinping’s efforts to destroy the U.S. economy and weaken the American people, our enemies are not resting until we are prostrate.

They are trying to do to America what Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush did to the former Soviet Union: destroy us.[7]  In a sense, they make no bones about it, at least since Biden became President.  The gloves are off—the game is on.  The stakes are the future of the world.  They couldn’t be higher. Wake up Americans.  Your future and that of your children and their children are at stake.  Our enemies are playing for keeps.  If we were in their shoes, with Biden in the White House, we would be too.[8]

Lastly, Biden is not our President and never will be.  He is a caricature of what a real man is supposed to be, who has been foisted on us by the evil Democrats and Left.  He is a imposter who is occupying our White House and making a mockery of it.  On the global stage, he is a pathetic buffoon at a pivotal moment in history.  And Kamala Harris may be even worse, if that’s humanly possible.[9]

The RED WAVE is NOT Guaranteed

24 05 2022

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

This is a warning issued by Mike Huckabee, former Governor of Arkansas and candidate for the Republican Party presidential nomination in both 2008 and 2016[2], which states:

While I was in Israel recently, I was asked by Israeli friends how the elections would turn out in America this fall. My response was that Republicans will win in a blowout unless they fail to come up a cohesive message other than, “Hey we aren’t THOSE guys who doubled your gas prices, jacked up groceries by 20%, and who opened the borders to illegals but busted the supply of baby formula.” The policies of the leftist Democrats have finally become untenable for common-sense loving Americans who unlike Joe Biden’s recent nominee to the Supreme Court DO know what a woman is. The Democrats have gone into a wild irrational rage about abortion, calling it “health care for women,” even though at least one person dies every time there is an abortion. They claim that 4 and 5 year old children ought to be taught about gender fluidity before they learn their numbers, colors, and letters of the alphabet. Most Americans know that’s not just bad policy, it’s insanity. And working-class Americans have grown tired of the elitists from Hollywood and Washington lecturing about climate change and carbon footprints when the same hypocritical snobs fly around the globe in fuel-sucking, carbon emitting private jets and upon landing, ride in long black limousines while owning 4 or 5 homes.

The demands to tax more don’t go over well with anyone who owns a business or is trying to get kids to school each day and feed them each evening, but Republicans need to focus on what they will stand FOR if given the majorities in the House and Senate. Keep in mind, that even if the GOP takes both houses, they won’t be able to pass legislation because Joe Biden isn’t likely to sign anything that makes energy cheaper, houses more affordable, or our borders more secure. Biden’s party still wants to pursue truly crazy policies like Critical Race Theory that indoctrinates schoolchildren to believe that all white children are evil oppressors and that our nation is systemically racist and bad, despite it being the ONE place on earth where people of every color risk their very lives to get to because they believe America is still a great country where freedom and opportunity awaits.

Republicans should tell America that if elected, they will pursue the following things and force Joe Biden to either sign the legislation or explain to struggling American why not:

1. We will finish the border wall, enforce immigration laws, and stop the flow of deadly drugs and human trafficking of small children to become sex slaves for the drug cartels.

2. We will support our military by giving them leaders who believe that a military being deadly is more important than being diverse. That means people are promoted because they are the best, not because they are the right color, gender, or sexual identity.

3. We will value all life from conception because we don’t think any human life is disposable or expendable.

4. We will work toward a completely different tax system like the Fair Tax in which we pay taxes on what we consume and not what we produce. We would get rid of the death tax and capital gains taxes because we shouldn’t punish productivity.

5. We will follow the Constitution and allow the states to govern themselves without the federal government mandating the minutia.

6. We will not tolerate violent crime and letting killers and thugs back on the streets to repeat their attacks on the law-abiding public. We all should have an expectation to walk in our neighborhood, ride a subway or bus, or get from their car to the front door of a grocery store without being assaulted.

7. We will renew energy independence by re-starting the Keystone XL pipeline, drilling on federal lands, and extracting the oil and natural gas under our own feet and re-starting a long-term nuclear energy capacity.

The country is in a mess and while Biden and the Democrats blame Putin, Trump, or anyone but themselves, we all know they OWN the results of their policies.

But we the people own the elections with our votes. And the country doesn’t belong to the politicians but the people. Always has; always will![3]

Governor Huckabee’s words need to be heeded, not ignored.  Lots of us began as Democrats, but left the party years ago when it veered so far to the left that it was unrecognizable.  We became Independents, and proudly so, or Republicans.

We are the inheritors of a great nation, consisting of Americans of different colors, religions and ethnicities.  However, with few exceptions, we want America to survive and prosper for the rest of our lives and that of our loved ones.[4]

And yes, Vladimir Putin’s war is raging in Ukraine, and courageous Ukrainians have shown the world that freedom is precious and worth fighting for; and they are an inspiration.[5]  China threatens Taiwan, while North Korea is engaged in sable-rattling.  The Coronavirus pandemic continues to raise its ugly head, while many Americans wish it was long gone, and act accordingly.

The Abortion Farce

8 05 2022

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

From the moment of conception, any abortion—wherever in this world it is done—constitutes Infanticide.  There is no other moment along the birth spectrum during which one can say: “After this point in time, there’s a human being; whereas before it, there’s not.”

As I wrote more than eight years ago:

When a woman gets pregnant, she relinquishes her rights over the fetus. It has a life and rights of its own from the moment of conception.

Any woman who has an abortion is a killer, period. The argument that she has a right to do with her body as she sees fit is true, but it does not apply to the fetus.

An abortion is a criminal act: infanticide. Each of the mothers and the doctors and others who have participated—or participate in the future—in the taking of human lives should be arrested, tried, convicted and . . .

Abortion is the taking of a life!

. . .

IF any exceptions are to be made, they should only occur in the case of rape, incest or where the life of the mother is at risk.[2]

The Coronavirus pandemic brought about a spike in the number of medically-induced abortions by taking pills, which essentially produce miscarriages.[3]  But make no mistake about it: they too constitute Infanticide.  Anyone who engages in such acts, or aids and abets them, has committed Infanticide: the killing of another human being.

America’s Left or far-Left, or Democrats or so-called “Progressives,” are rioting because a draft decision by the U.S. Supreme Court addressing Roe v. Wade was leaked to the media, which would refer these issues back to the States.  But it would not ban abortions.  The so-called “Justices” of the Court are too cowardly to do that.[4]

Rioters are camping outside of individual Justice’s homes; and these total wackos are even attacking church services.[5]

It must never be forgotten that the thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels of “Black Lives Matter,” Antifa and other far-Left groups have burned our cities; killed or hurt innocent Americans including our police; and destroyed black and other businesses.  They and their anti-abortion “soul mates” must be put down like rabid animals.

Lastly, many wonderful women struggle to give birth to their babies, and keep them alive.  Others hope for adoptions, which can be a nightmare unto itself.  Still others are homeless, or live in war-torn areas of the world like Ukraine, where each day is struggle to stay alive.  These and women who simply love and nourish their kids every day are the true heroes, and they must be saluted—as if each day was Mother’s Day.[6]

Imagine Being The Greatest Killers In History

1 12 2021

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

Adolf Hitler is usually described as one of history’s greatest killers—of Jews in the Holocaust, and others.  However, his Nazi death machines were dwarfed by the number of those who were killed by China’s Mao Tse Tung and the Soviet Union’s Joseph Stalin.[2][3]

Eclipsing all of them are the so-called “Justices” of our Supreme Court, who have single-handedly been responsible for the deaths of more than 55 million Americans since Roe v. Wade, as part of their judiciary-sanctioned killing of human beings—or Infanticide.[4]

How can any of them sleep at night?  Shouldn’t they be paraded before the world like the Nazis at the Nuremberg trials?  Shouldn’t they be hung for their actions against humanity?[5]  What vile, despicable and God-less human beings they must be. Surely, like Hitler, Mao and Stalin, they will be welcomed at the Gates of Hell.

As the Court considers its next decisions with respect to abortions, its tragic legacy of massive killings overshadows everything else.  When will they stop?[6]

The GOP Is Dead, And Few Of Us Are Saddened By Its Demise

12 02 2021

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

When I left the U.S. Senate, I concluded that the Democrats were “evil” but smart, while the Republicans were “Neanderthals” and dumb.  I have never changed that opinion; and I have been an Independent ever since, and proudly one.  I held my nose and voted a straight GOP ticket in 2016 and 2020 for one reason only: Donald Trump.  For all intents and purposes, he is America’s first Independent President, beholden to neither party and contemptuous of both—which is why he is hated and feared by both the Left and the Right.

I began as a Democrat in a devoutly-Republican family; and I was in the Los Angeles Coliseum when John F. Kennedy delivered his acceptance speech at the 1960 Democratic convention, even though I was not old enough to vote.  After law school at Berkeley and Georgetown, and serving two years as an Army Officer at the Pentagon, I went to work on Capitol Hill instead of going back to work for a prestigious law firm in San Francisco.  I took seriously JFK’s inspiring words—written by Ted Sorensen—about serving one’s country.

Later, I learned that JFK was a total fraud, and the most despicable President in American history.[2]  Among other things he never should have been our President.  He and his family, and the Democrats and Chicago crime boss Sam Giancana rigged the 1960 elections in Chicago and West Virginia; and Richard Nixon was too honorable to put the American people through a contested election.

JFK’s girlfriend, Judith Campbell Exner, was also Giancana’s girlfriend; and she acted as their “go-between.”  JFK was not well when he was shot in Dallas; and there are reasons to believe that he might not have lived much longer.  Also, he might not have been killed that day except he was wearing a full body brace that kept him rigid, after having hurt his back frolicking with bimbos in a Los Angeles swimming pool.[3]

The Republicans were too stupid to prevent the rigging of JFK’s election; and the Democrats had perfected their skulduggery to a fine art by the time of the 2020 elections.  Now, to insure that Joe Biden’s one term presidency—at most—is not wasted, they have marshaled their skills and put the nation through an unconstitutional impeachment process.

Because they are thoroughly evil, they even have a backup plan[4], with all of this transpiring after the un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama and his co-conspirators spent more than four years trying to destroy the candidacy and presidency of Donald Trump, which is treason.  And this is occurring in the context of the Chinese Communist rulers’ sophisticated efforts to achieve global domination, after having unleashed the deadly Coronavirus pandemic and destroyed so many lives physically, psychologically and economically in the United States and globally.[5]

Against this backdrop, we have total GOP losers like Nikki Haley and Mitt Romney who fancy themselves as God’s gifts to the Universe, and as the next President of the United States.  Pat Buchanan—an adviser to Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, and a former GOP presidential aspirant himself—has written about the pathetic GOP in an article entitled the “Dark Winter of a Grand Old Party,” as follows:

It has been a dreadful three months for the Grand Old Party.

On Nov. 3, President Donald Trump seemed to have lost the White House by narrowly losing three crucial blue states he had won in 2016 — Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania — and Georgia and Arizona as well.

Trump immediately mounted an acrimonious two-month campaign to prove the election had been “rigged” and “stolen,” enlisting virtually the entire party behind his claim.

On Jan. 5, after an intra-party battle between Trump and the Georgia Republican leadership, the GOP lost both of Georgia’s Senate seats and control of the U.S. Senate.

On Jan. 6, a mob, after storming the Capitol to block a formal vote to confirm the election of Joe Biden as president, rampaged through the building for hours.

On Jan. 13, Trump was impeached by Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s House for “incitation of insurrection.”

The trial began Tuesday, featuring endless reruns of footage from the Jan. 6 occupation, showing thugs invading and trashing the Capitol and searching out Pelosi and Vice President Mike Pence.

Trump’s defense: He directed the crowd on the mall to march to the Capitol “peacefully” not violently, and the White House was unaware there might be a mob assault.

In the month since the attack on the Capitol, says The New York Times, 140,000 Republicans in 25 states have renounced their party by changing their registration. And Joe Biden’s approval rating has been in the 50s, a level Trump did not reach in four years.

There may have been a worse 90 days in Republican Party history, but it is difficult to recall exactly when.

There was the Goldwater defeat of 1964, which left the party with less than 40% of the presidential vote and less than a third of the seats in the House and Senate.

There was the Watergate year 1974, which saw Richard Nixon resign in August and the party lose 49 House seats that fall and then lose the presidency to Jimmy Carter in 1976.

Yet, the years following these political disasters were not all that bad.

Goldwater’s defeat was followed by the Nixon-led comeback in 1966, with the party picking up 47 seats and then recapturing the White House in 1968. And while Watergate was followed by the loss of Nixon’s successor Gerald Ford in 1976, Jimmy Carter’s presidency opened the door to the winningest Republican of them all, Ronald Reagan.

In short, it is not always true as Sen. John McCain mordantly observed, that the darkest hour is often just before it turns totally black.

What are the prerequisites for a Republican restoration?

As Nixon’s victory in 1968 and Reagan’s in 1980 showed, a party comeback requires, first, the perceived failure of the opposition on issues of major concern to the great majority.

In 1968, LBJ’s Great Society program had ushered in five summers of race riots, soaring crime rates, a social and cultural revolution on the campuses, and a war in Southeast Asia that was consuming 200 to 300 American lives a week.

Under Carter in 1980, there were 21% interest rates, 13% inflation, 7% unemployment and 52 U.S. hostages being held in Iran.

A second and indispensable element of a party comeback is party unity, which Nixon and Reagan produced, as Eisenhower had before them.

Whether the GOP will be united in 2022 or 2024 depends, very much today, on one man.

Still, as of today, though Biden appears personally popular, he seems to be moving leftward in a way that will play into the GOP’s hands on several issues.

Shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline, for example, is a policy decision that will kill thousands of jobs to prevent an “existential crisis” millions of workers do not see.

Second, Biden has moved the racial goalposts from equality of opportunity to “equity” for all, which can only be attained by socialist action to even out incomes and wealth through quotas, affirmative action and set-asides. Yet, voters in ultra-liberal California last fall crushed Prop 16, which would have empowered public agencies, universities and colleges to consider race, gender and ethnicity when making decisions on contracting, hiring and student admissions.

Moreover, the liberal immigration policy Biden promised last fall has already caused a stampede to our Southern border. Some 78,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended by the Border Patrol crossing in January alone. They are now being caught at the rate of 3,000 a day.

Securing the border is a populist and national security issue.

Other Trump add-ons to the traditional GOP agenda remain popular with large majorities of Americans.

Consider the “America first” issues of economic nationalism, the return of manufacturing to the United States, and keeping U.S. troops out of foreign wars where no vital U.S. interests are imperiled.

The questions of the hour are these: Will the GOP be united against an incumbent party that is moving visibly leftward and dragging the country with it — and what will Donald Trump do?[6]

Joe Biden is Trumpism’s Best Asset

11 02 2021

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich[2], has written:

The Washington establishment still can’t comprehend the dynamic which allows former President Donald Trump to withstand constant attacks and media hits without losing his core supporters.

At this point, the key to Trump’s following is President Joe Biden.

No matter how bad Trump’s lawyers are (and yesterday’s opening presentation for Trump may be the most incompetent, amateurish, and ill prepared opening I have ever seen), Biden is worse.

No matter what the accusations against former President Trump are, his base can’t leave him because the alternative is so unacceptable to them.

This hostility to the Washington establishment was driven home to me recently when Scott Rasmussen reported on a survey in which 72 percent of the American people said “political elites believe they are superior to everyday Americans.” Rasmussen found only 11 percent disagreed and 17 percent were not certain.

This idea that the elites hold themselves above the rest of us was shared by 78 percent of men and 68 percent of women who were asked in a survey of 1,200 registered voters from Feb. 4-6. This idea also seemed to bridge the urban-rural divide. Seventy-seven percent of suburban voters, 70 percent of urban voters, and 60 percent of rural voters all agreed.

There was a larger gap between the private and public sector workforces, with 82 percent of those in private business agreeing that the elites believed themselves superior and only 63 percent of government workers concurring.

Every time Biden signs another left-wing executive order (supporting tax-funded abortion, effectively eliminating Title IX protection for women’s sports, killing tens of thousands of jobs in pursuit of a radical climate agenda)[,] Trump supporters are reminded they have no alternative.

Every time the left-wing Democrats do something crazy like abolish the words mother, father, brother, sister (and two dozen other gender-specific words) from the House Rules, people are reminded that there is no alternative.

As corruption grows ($600 million stolen in Washington State unemployment funds, an estimated $31 billion stolen in California unemployment payments)[,] Americans are reminded that the left-wing elite government Democrats are not acceptable.

When Democratic governors in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, California, and elsewhere destroy freedom of religion and establish authoritarian societal rules (which they themselves promptly break)[,] Americans are reminded that the government elites do believe they are above common citizens and the law.

As the Chinese Communists build momentum around the world – and as pro-Chinese Communists are appointed to key government positions by the Biden administration – people are reminded that there is no alternative.

Biden’s strongest ally, the teachers’ unions, have proven to be Communist China’s greatest allies. A year of non-teaching has put most American students further behind their Chinese counterparts. Years of terrible bureaucracy and incompetence have destroyed opportunity for hundreds of thousands of inner city school children. It has limited their earning capacity, their learning skills, and their ability to break out from poverty and crime-ridden neighborhoods. The emphasis on weird left-wing values and “woke” education further weakens America and tears apart the common culture which has historically made America so successful. There is a breathtaking arrogance of the teachers’ unions in refusing to reopen even after the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it is healthier and better for students to be in school.

Faced with this simple choice between students and the union – between learning and hiding – President Biden has consistently sided with the teachers’ unions against science, public health, parents, and students.

As the Montgomery County, Maryland school system explained its hypocrisy in an email to parents:

“As we prepare for our return to an in-person learning experience, we anticipate a need for adults to support the supervision of students. If you know any adults with a high school diploma/GED who would be interested in monitoring students at $15.72 per hour, please encourage them to apply to be considered for the position of classroom monitor. Duties include monitoring classrooms of teachers who are providing virtual instruction to students in the building and supporting in-person teachers.”

Note that the teachers refuse to go back to work in the schools, but it seems safe enough for common, untrained parents to monitor the students in-person.

Once again, Trump supporters – and any Americans who think this is all crazy – are left with no choice.

What Washington elites don’t understand is that Trumpism is much bigger than former President Trump.

Trumpism is a broad and growing repudiation of oligarchical billionaires, giant companies censoring our lives, international companies selling out American values to make a buck in a Communist Chinese dictatorship. Trumpism is a rejection of radical social values being imposed on our children as early as 5 or 6 years of age. It is recognition that American bureaucracy [is] so incompetent a Nigerian cyber criminal gang stole $600 million from Washington State – and the incompetent official that presided over the fraud, Suzi Levine, has now been nominated by Biden for a major job at the Department of Labor overseeing $9 billion a year. (This is cronyism at its worst. She and her husband gave the Biden campaign and Democrat organizations $400,000.)

Nothing the left can say will shake the tens of millions of Americans’ belief that the elites despise them, the bureaucrats bully and cheat them, and the news media lies to them.

This is why when the mock trial of form President Trump is finished in the US Senate, President Trump will have been acquitted.

He can thank President Biden for making it easier.[3]

Lots of us began as Democrats, but will never vote for one again.  They have veered so far to the Left that they have abandoned essentially everything that made America great.  They have become the party of the un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama, who on some level has hated the United States since he was very young, growing up in Hawaii and Indonesia, and never living on the American mainland until he attended Occidental College in Los Angeles.[4]. He and his co-conspirators spent more than four years trying to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of Donald Trump, which is treason.

Needless to say, China’s Communist rulers in Beijing believe they have triumphed.  After having unleashed the Coronavirus—as a bioweapon or inadvertently[5]—they believe China’s global domination is at hand, probably by the end of this decade, and that the United States is finished.[6]

The Day America Died?

13 01 2021

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

One thing is certain: China’s Communist rulers in Beijing are celebrating.

Their economy was “sputtering” at best, until they launched the deadly Coronavirus (or COVID-19)—as a bioweapon or inadvertently—which has decimated the United States and other countries globally.[2]  Donald Trump was determined to hold them accountable, but now he is departing from the world’s stage, or so it would seem.  And in his place are “Brain Dead” Joe Biden, who suffers from advancing Dementia after at least two brain operations[3]; Willie Brown’s ho Kamala Harris[4]; Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi; and others of their ilk.

America’s Left is vicious; and it is determined to erase the legacy and all vestiges of Trump and his presidency.  It has attacked him endlessly since his quest for the White House began, which will continue.  Because the Republican Party is effectively “dead,” there will be little or no opposition—or resistance.   And Trump’s legions of loyal supporters, who turned out nationwide in the worst of weather conditions, may be cowed into believing that somehow they are the problem.

The thugs, slugs, hoods and mongrels of “Black Lives Matter,” Antifa and other far-Left groups—which burned our cities, killed or hurt innocent Americans including our police, and destroyed black and other businesses—may become the victors, which is the world turned upside down.  It is tantamount to the Pigs in George Orwell’s prescient “Animal Farm” becoming the victors, and subjugating the other animals.[5]  America’s Left is anti-police and anti-military, and it will attempt to gut both.

How will the Democrats reverse the course of our great republic? A few examples will suffice. In all likelihood, they will (1) legalize even more drugs, nationally; (2) legalize the illegal immigrants in our country already, and give them a path to citizenship; (3) open our borders wide, with few if any impediments to entry, certainly at our southern border; (4) destroy our energy independence by embracing the hoax of man-made “global warming,” thereby making us dependent on Middle East oil again, in whole or in part, and destroying American jobs[6]; (5) open the floodgates wide to abortions and Infanticide, which have killed ten times the number of those who died in the Holocaust, since Roe v. Wade[7]; (6) implement unconstitutional gun control; (7) attempt to “pack” the Supreme Court; (8) curtail and/or criminalize free speech; (9) seek reparations for slavery, which the Democrats instituted and perpetuated in America; (10) continue to erase our history, and tear down or deface monuments[8]; and (11) cut deals with China, which will insure that nation’s global dominance in the years ahead.

Perhaps the overriding—and underlying—theme in the United States and China today is Godlessness.  Where is God in the midst of all this chaos?[9]  Aside from the deadly virus that is creating so many deaths and so much suffering around the world, China has been (1) snuffing out the fledgling democracy in Hong Kong; (2) enslaving/”reeducating” the Uyghurs and other ethnic groups that number at least 1 million; (3) threatening Taiwan and our other allies; (4) waging the savage border war with India, where they just “fried” Indian soldiers with a new EMP weapon, which might be used globally; and (5) seeking global domination.[10]

It is useful to pause and put the Trump presidency into perspective.  There was and is only one Abraham Lincoln, who saved our great nation and ended slavery.  Similarly, there was and is only one Ronald Reagan who survived an assassin’s bullet and brought down the Soviet Union without a shot being fired.  The same thing is true of Donald Trump who survived China’s Coronavirus, as well as more than four years of the “evil” Left’s efforts to destroy his candidacy and his presidency.  Much of this was orchestrated by the un-American racist and anti-Semite Barack Obama and his co-conspirators, who committed treason.[11]

The Democrats continued to perpetuate slavery after our last Civil War ended—in the form of the KKK, segregation and later LBJ’s “Great Society” programs, which destroyed black families and consigned them to economic servitude.  Donald Trump has done the opposite by helping minorities of all colors, religions and ethnic backgrounds; and his popularity has reflected this.  Thus, he has been a threat to America’s “establishment,” both Democrats and Republicans alike.

He is the consummate “outsider,” who is beholden to neither political party, and is justifiably contemptuous of both.  His very existence has evoked unbridled hatred by Democrats and RINOs alike, such as the despicable Utah Senator, carpetbagger and failed presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.  Jealousy is not an insignificant factor—and our Supreme Court has betrayed the American people in the process[12].

As 2020 drew to a close, many Americans were thankful that they survived one of the worst years in their lives.  Many of us know people who have died, or have been at “death’s door” before recovering.  Yet, there are reasons to believe that the virus is mutating, and that it may be even more devastating in 2021 and beyond, notwithstanding the presence of one or more vaccines.[13]

If the 2020 election results were not an outgrowth of such craziness, they were certainly consistent with it—and both Orwellian and surreal.[14]  Our nation is in peril, as the Godless forces of pure evil are on the verge of taking over, which George Orwell warned about.

The U.S. Supreme Court Is A Tragic, Pathetic Joke

18 06 2019

 By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

The U.S. Supreme Court just issued its decision in Gamble v. United States, and “left the door open for state prosecutors to prosecute Trump campaign officials regardless of whether federal officials have already done so.”[2]  In his dissenting opinion, Justice Neil Gorsuch—President Trump’s first appointment to the Court—wrote:

A free society does not allow its government to try the same individual for the same crime until it’s happy with the result. Unfortunately, the Court today endorses a colossal exception to this ancient rule against double jeopardy.  My colleagues say that the federal government and each State are “separate sovereigns” entitled to try the same person for the same crime. So if all the might of one “sovereign” cannot succeed against the presumptively free individual, another may insist on the chance to try again. And if both manage to succeed, so much the better; they can add one punishment on top of the other. But this “separate sovereigns exception” to the bar against double jeopardy finds no meaningful support in the text of the Constitution, its original public meaning, structure, or history. Instead, the Constitution promises all Americans that they will never suffer double jeopardy. I would enforce that guarantee.[3]

Our Supreme Court has been a tragic, pathetic joke for years, certainly since it blessed infanticide in Roe v. Wade—and the killing of more than 55 million American babies.[4]  Also, Chief Justice John Roberts constitutes the second worst decision that former President George W. Bush made during his eight-year presidency—other than the senseless Iraq War in which more than 5,000 Americans died and many more were maimed, and trillions of dollars were wasted, for nothing.[5]

Perhaps an editorial of The New York Sun described the Gamble decision best:

How is it possible that, after all the tumult over the Supreme Court, the only two justices to grasp the plain language of the Constitution in respect of double jeopardy are — wait for it — Neil Gorsuch and Ruth Bader Ginsburg? It’s amazing enough that there are but two sages for the bedrock prohibition on double jeopardy. More amazing still that the question unites the right- and left-most justices.

The case, known as Gamble v. U.S., involves an ex-con named Terance Martez Gamble. He was pulled over in a traffic stop in 2015 at Alabama. A gun was found in his possession in violation of both Alabama and American law. Gamble pled to the state charges and drew a year. Then the federales turned around and charged him again for the same offense, drawing additional time for the same deed.

The justices rejected his appeal in an opinion — by Justice Alito — that reminds us of President Clinton’s hemming about how it depends on what the meaning of “is” is. In this case, it depends on the meaning of the word “offense.” The justices reckon there were two offenses, one carrying the blasted gun in Alabama and the other the same gun at the same time in the United States. Could the United Nations also charge him?

. . .

Justice Thomas, sage of what Myron Magnet, in his new book, calls the “lost Constitution,” manages to concur with the majority’s ruling against Gamble while attacking stare decisis. The ink wasn’t even dry on his concurrence when the press started warning that Justice Thomas was — yet again — prepping the ground for overturning Roe v. Wade. Others were more focused on the implications of Gamble for Paul Manafort.

New York, after all, is preparing to bring charges against President Trump’s former campaign manager even while Manafort sits in the Big House hoping for a pardon on federal charges. It’s not so clear, though, that New York will throw at Manafort the same charges Mr. Mueller levied. To discern differences between the federal and state cases against Gamble, though, one would need an electron microscope.

Our own interest in this case is neither stare decisis nor Paul Manafort nor Ms. Roe nor Mr. Wade. It is the plain language of the Fifth Amendment, where the prohibition against double jeopardy is laid down. Our national parchment was supposed to be a bar against such injustices as the state appealing acquittals or the law chasing someone from one court to another.

This is beautifully marked by both Justices Ginsburg and Gorsuch in two dissents. Justice Ginsburg, citing precedent about the separateness of federal and state laws, warned of “frittering away” Gamble’s liberty “upon a metaphysical subtlety, two sovereignties.” Thundered Justice Gorsuch: “A free society does not allow its government to try the same individual for the same crime until it’s happy with the result.”

It is not our intention to suggest that there can never be, say, a federal prosecution after a state acquittal. During the Jim Crow era, southern juries often ignored the facts. In those cases, though, the argument would be, and was, that the accused racists were never in genuine jeopardy in the first place. That is not what happened in the case of Terance Gamble.

All the more inspiring that the two dissenting judges from opposite ideological ends of the bench came together on this bedrock. It doesn’t suggest the confirmation battles are about nothing. It does remind all of us not to panic. The thinness of the vapors at the altitude where these justices breathe makes it hard to predict how they will behave. History teaches that great dissents have a way of getting vindicated over time.[6]

We can only hope that Justice Gorsuch’s dissenting opinion becomes the law of the land, which is not very promising given the 7-2 ruling—or for Paul Manafort and others who tried to help President Trump and may be caught in the insidious web of double jeopardy.  We have to thank our Supreme Court again for the perpetuation (or creation) of tragic injustices.[7]

A New Catholic Manifesto?

13 04 2019

 By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

A recent survey found that there are as many Americans who claim no religion, as there are evangelicals and Catholics:

For the first time “No Religion” has topped a survey of Americans’ religious identity. . . . The non-religious edged out Catholics and evangelicals. . . .[2]

Also, it has been noted that “a growing number of Americans reject organized religion,” and that “‘No Religion’ will be the largest group outright in four to six years.”[3]  These conclusions do not surprise many if not most “believers”—which is the path less traveled.

Some of us “experienced” God at one time or another in our lives[4]; and without that, it is likely that we too would not only reject organized religion, but any belief in a “Higher Power” altogether.  We might look at the cruelties, injustices and sadness in Life, and wonder how a loving God could allow this.  It seems to fly in the face of logic and rational belief systems.[5]

Indeed, to “push” our belief systems on others, or even to mention the life-changing moment we experienced, seems arrogant and pious.  Each and every human being, or animal, is a child of God . . . or so many of us believe.  We are not special because of what happened to us, but we were privileged—and yes, blessed—to have it happen.  With that comes a sense of responsibility, to help others.

Often, evangelicals proselytize, quite vigorously, which turns off others.  If the “targets” were willing to be open-minded, having religion “shoved down their throats” can be threatening and repulsive.  However well-intentioned such evangelicals may be, they can have the opposite effect, of turning away the “candidate” from any religion, which is human nature.  Each of us is on a unique path to God, or so I believe, which is not shared by anyone else.

We fall, and get up again and move on.  We are not heroes or saints or anything else except another human being.  We are no more or less than our fellow human beings.  Each day we seem to struggle with our beliefs and faith.  As I have written:

I had essentially a “near-death” experience some years ago, similar to what others have described, during which I experienced God . . . as an intense bright light at the end of a tunnel, and as Infinite Intelligence of which our own intelligence is merely a part. God was neither masculine nor feminine. My mother had died months before it happened, and I felt her presence and I knew she was with God.

From that moment forward, I have never doubted that God exists, or that God created everything—heaven and earth and everything in between. However, I continually seek to understand how God operates in my life, on a day-to-day basis. The closest I have come is my belief that God acts through us as faith, inspiration, prayer, miracles, and perhaps most of all, love. I believe that in expressing love, each of us is God in expression.[6]

Christianity is the largest religion in the world today[7]; and the Catholic Church, or the “Mother Church,” is the largest Christian denomination.[8]  In the case of some, our ancestors have been Catholics for centuries—and at least two hundred years.  We may not be “official Catholics” today, but we are drawn to the Church for a variety of reasons.  One of the most important is the Church’s stand on abortions, and its unwavering pro-life and anti-Infanticide policies.[9]

Jesus’ teachings were simple; and they are set forth in the New Testament, for anyone to read.  Was He the Messiah and Son of God?  I believe so.  In many ways, His messages were clear: to help the poorest of poor (e.g., homeless) and the downtrodden; and not to worship material things or “creature comforts.”  We come into this world with nothing, and we leave with nothing, just like the Pharaohs or monarchs of ancient Egypt.[10]

How and where has the Catholic Church gone astray, and diverged from the teachings of Jesus?[11]  How can it be brought back “on track,” so it is true to Jesus’ teachings?  For some non-believers, there is probably nothing that the Church could do that would “redeem its sins.”  Some are determined to destroy the Church, and organized religions altogether; and seemingly, nothing will change their minds or alter their paths.

Pedophilia has ripped the Church apart around the world, and in places like Ireland where the Church used to be so strong.  What can be done about this, at least with respect to those who are “open-minded” and not bent on destruction?  First, the Church needs to “clean house,” and rid its ranks of pedophiles who prey on others, and those who engage in human trafficking and slavery.  Second, there must not be more cover-ups.  Third, I believe there should be no more vows of celibacy or chastity, which are unnatural.  Fourth, the priesthood should be open and welcoming to women.

Lastly, why should I care?  Why should I or anyone else waste time writing an article like this or trying to make changes, which may be unlikely to move the Church or its adherents one single inch?  Indeed, few people may read this article, much less be moved by it.  And some may be repulsed and/or angry about what I have written.  Yet, I want to see Jesus’ wonderful teachings flourish, and for the Catholic Church to continue to promulgate such teachings far and wide—and yes, to serve God in the process.

The Church has helped millions of human beings worldwide, and it continues to do so.  This is its future.

As I have written:

An abortion is a criminal act: infanticide. Each of the mothers and the doctors and others who have participated—or participate in the future—in the taking of human lives should be arrested, tried, convicted and . . .

Abortion is the taking of a life!

. . .

IF any exceptions are to be made, they should only occur in the case of rape, incest or where the life of the mother is at risk.
